Day parking, overnight prohibited

This is a daytime parking area. Parking permitted with an additional sign from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. No overnight stays.

Quiet, dry, flat place on the outskirts of town, with many opportunities for hiking. We stayed for three days.

Excellent parking area, flat and well suited for one or two nights!

Very nice, quiet spot for a 1 night stopover. Shop and tourist information center within walking distance. Lots of hiking trails in the vicinity too. If it rains there are a few muddy spots to avoid in the parking area.

Great place, quiet and fairly level. Perfect for 1–2 nights. 6 km by bicycle to Lake Arber. The border is 1 km away. Tourist information with a toilet is reachable in three minutes on foot.

Quiet place, playground with a nearby park (you can also park there only from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.). We spent two nights here on a ski trip.

Great place to spend the night. No prohibition signs like on the Czech side of the Šumava. The parking area is secluded and peaceful. You can hear passing cars and occasionally the church bell, and there is street lighting. However, you can park in a way that does not disturb anyone; nothing particularly disruptive.

Parking at the entrance to the village, very quiet and pleasant. Next to it are a football field and a mini-golf course. We spent two nights with two other motorhomes. Ideal place for trekking; the village tourist office provides route leaflets. The forests of the national park are incredibly beautiful, with spruce and beech trees. Amazing surroundings.

Good parking area with many hiking trails in fantastic natural surroundings. At times we stayed there overnight with three motorhomes. It felt safe to us. Petrol station nearby and the town is also within walking distance.

Good place off the road, clearly marked as parking

Great place for hiking in the Bavarian Forest National Park or to the Großer Arber. There is also an excellent path along the stream into the town centre. Road traffic can be heard but is bearable. If you already relieve yourself in nature, use a small garden shovel or rake to bury it; this makes the environment better for us and others and keeps it pleasant. And take your rubbish with you.

Ideal place to explore the border region. The night was very quiet. Gladly again.
