Been here?
A basic, peaceful campsite beside the Tagus River, with beautiful surroundings, hiking, cycling, climbing, and access to the water. The pitches are small, sloping, and poorly maintained, while the toilets are old and only 3 showers are available, 2 of which clogged quickly. The price is 29€ plus 6€ for electricity, and there is no grey-water emptying. Access is limited in height and width.

Basic campsite with old bathrooms, barely three showers, two of which clogged shortly after we started using them. Sloping pitches, small for two people, and rather neglected. Without a doubt, the best things are the surroundings, the views, and access to the river, although you can also reach it from another side.
Overpriced for the services offered: €29 plus €6 for electricity. Grounds poorly maintained. Sloping pitches. Untrimmed trees. Height and width access restrictions. Old toilets and facilities. Dirty, with only one cleaning per day. Unsuitable and dirty cassette toilet disposal. No gray-water disposal. The fresh-water tank is filled using a toilet-emptying hose lying on the ground. Bins not emptied. Stay away!
I don't understand the negative comments about this paradise. Wild animals? What do you expect in the middle of nature, a protest march? There is only peace and quiet here, apart from noisy children and dogs—a perfect place to rest and go for walks. A paradise for well-behaved children and dogs. I always come back. Closed from October until Easter.
24 May 2026: what a disappointment after driving for hours. The site is closed. There is no information, not even on Google.
Superb location between the gorge and the river. The campsite price is not in proportion to the facilities, hence three stars. The shower and dishwashing water were ice cold. There is an okay restaurant with a small menu, but the food is good.
Quiet campsite. Iñigo is super friendly, the restaurant is perfect, and everything was delicious. Perfect for walking along the banks of the Tagus.
The pitches are not well signposted and are slightly sloping, but this can easily be solved. Emptying gray water costs an additional €6. The best thing is the campsite's location beside the river. We spent a quiet night.
We stayed in mid-August. Fantastic place, lovely people, and immaculate bathrooms. The surroundings are paradise. We will return.
So, good spot near the river, El Tajo. The surface of the spots are not that even. Also careful with the trees. Limited for AC of more than 2,5 mts tall. Good services, bathroom and sinks to do your laundry and dishes. Expensive for what it has to offer, 27 (ac +2 people) plus 6€ for electricity. Stayed here on 6/9/25. Good Vodafone coverage and signal overall.
The site is magnificent! Yes, the pitches are not separated, so you have to park cleverly ;-) It may be difficult for vehicles over 7 m. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the bar/restaurant is great and very, very tasty. This is not a luxury campsite. Anyone looking for entertainment is in the wrong place. You get peace and nature that cannot be described in words. Very dog-friendly! The facilities are very clean.
Well-located campsite. The pitches lack maintenance. Expensive for the quality-to-price ratio. Gray-water disposal is complicated. Be sure to bring ice!!!!! If you buy it at the restaurant, you will pay €4 per bag.
Very basic campsite with poor maintenance and sloping pitches. Expensive for the quality offered.
This world famous (thanks Guardian) camping site is an exceptional experience! Located in fantastic nature with endless opportunities to hike and bike, you can have a refreshing swim in the stream. Iñigo and Marina provide a really extraordinary menu, wine and drinks. And if you have luck, Iñigo's buddy stops by for an unforgettable duelling guitar evening on the terrace. Facilities always clean.
Simple but sufficient campsite beside the river. Splendid setting. Warm welcome, excellent restaurant. Facilities are a little outdated, but it doesn't matter. Watch out for the hot water; it may run out if there have been several showers in succession! Price slightly above market rate, but the location is isolated.
