Fenced picnic parking, steep access

Didn't stay here, but would suggest this would definitely be a quiet night stop. There's currently 3 motorhomes and a campervan here plus 2 tents. The drive down isn't for the nervous driver but is doable in a 6 or 7m vehicle.

The place is perfect, and we should be grateful that they let us spend the night here. It is a space for everyone to enjoy, both those of us travelling by motorhome and families who come to spend the day. Respect makes coexistence possible. Anyone bothered by families enjoying the surroundings should go to the North Pole.✦Translating

Wonderful place for us until spring 2025. From then on, a ranger controlled the area and you were only allowed to use the half-decayed barbecue sites, not the many already established and used open fire pits. You were also no longer allowed to drive close to the barbecue sites. The cycling and hiking routes and the area itself are excellent. Five stars because of the ranger.✦Translating

Very spacious and easy to reach. No rubbish lying around; the place is maintained. Absolutely peaceful outside weekends. Many small illegal fire pits and motocross tracks suggest what it can be like here on weekends. Starting point for several challenging hiking trails or walks along the old railway line.✦Translating

Spot in the middle of nature, but too crowded for us—there were at least ten other vehicles on site. Very easy to access with any vehicle. Beautiful walking and cycling routes nearby.✦Translating

Wonderful and beautiful on weekdays, very peaceful. It is obvious that you should not park on a meadow when there is enough space elsewhere! But at the weekend, all hell breaks loose here: quads, enduro bikes, barbecues everywhere, shouting, and unleashed, barking, badly behaved dogs. Why do people come to a quiet place and make lots of noise? Kids, quads, scramble bikes all tearing about the vans. Someone will hopefully hurt themselves one day and it will get banned.

A really beautiful place, but… when we were outside the fenced area, the nature reserve ranger politely but firmly directed us, along with everyone else standing on the meadow, into the fenced area. And that was during the week! At weekends, the place is packed with tents and motorhomes everywhere. Apparently, standing on the meadow is tolerated then…✦Translating

Definitely worth a visit, the tree and surroundings are beautiful but add or remove a star depending on if you enjoy or dislike a huge number of other vans/motorhomes and all that entails. There were 11+ other campers when we came midweek in late January, a handful parked inside the fenced area and a good number of others parked all around. Felt a bit too much like a campsite for me.

This is my favourite park up ever. The most beautiful peaceful scenery during the week, only other people here were a few other campers. The police will come and tell you to park inside the fenced area though. However, the weekend is different, it fills up with loads of local families, cooking and chilling, more of a festival vibe. The amazing tree is Spain's tree of the year 2024!

3 mbps! The cell reception sucks, even with the router and external antenna. The place though is magnificent. On the weekends is rather crowded with families grilling and so on. If you need to unplug, come here during the week and forget about your phone :)

Follow Vandalou's advice to get there! Great spot, very quiet during the week and lots of Spaniards at the weekend! I stayed for three days up in the heights rather than in the car park with the barriers; the police came by and said nothing. Very beautiful, peaceful place, beside the lovely Via Verde. The road there from the direction of Algodonales is occasionally narrow for a motorhome. (And indeed incorrectly indicated on TomTom: see one of the comments below.) It is much easier to reach via the road through Coripe. Barely any or no Wi-Fi.✦Translating

Great place! We tried in Coripe, but it was full: but this is much better (as long as you don’t need any services). If you are approaching from Coripe, you need to turn right down the track just after the bridge: it’s signposted to El Chaparro de la Vega.

We slept two nights without noise and in peace. The place is still wonderful, surrounded by nature. No services, just rubbish containers. I love this place; let's leave it cleaner than we found it.✦Translating

We are here for the second time, and fortunately it is still just as beautiful. You should, however, appreciate the locals’ musical taste, as they arrive toward evening with powerful car audio. Highlights included Mí Jaca Campera, Mis Cuatro Rosas, La Bebe Remix, and Easy Loops.

Very pleasant place; you have to go down a dirt track with some inclines, but we had no problems with our 7.5-metre motorhome. It is a recreational area with picnic tables, barbecues, etc. We spent the night inside the fenced area, thinking it was not allowed outside, but other vehicles spent the night outside without any problem. There were quite a few people, but it is spacious and we did not disturb one another.✦Translating

Beautiful, isolated and clean place. I doubt whether the water is drinkable because of the installation. The tap drains into a tank with only a few centimetres of water, which is not enough to fill anything. The tank is full of frogs and algae. Bring your water beforehand.✦Translating

Great place in the middle of nature. Unfortunately, I couldn't reach the end because I have a motorhome with a trailer and there were some moderate climbs on the track. We slept at the start of the hike. On the other hand, there is a 37-km greenway, a former railway line, with 30 tunnels to cross.✦Translating
