15 Spring Gardens, BN7 2PT, Lewes
Been here?
A paid, fairly flat car park with the village and public toilets nearby, becoming quieter as it empties in the evening. Recent pricing is 2,15£/jours in coins or by card, with free parking from 17h to 9h. It can become densely occupied during the day, making exits difficult for long vehicles or those with overhang. Some areas are sloped, and the entrance can be confusing.

£2.15 per day in coins or by card (free from 5 p.m. to 9 a.m.). We arrived at 10 p.m. and the car park was empty. There are no marked spaces, so in the morning people park however they can. To leave without obstruction, we parked at the bottom of the car park, but it was somewhat sloped. Shops are accessible via a side street in five minutes.
We spent one night on a Sunday. It was very quiet.
Martin, a local resident, pointed out that the parking area becomes packed during the day. It can then be difficult to get out of the space, especially with rear overhang. Therefore, park with the front facing the road or path so you can leave. Good luck. Public toilets at Market Lane 8, 500 meters away.
Simple parking area, very busy during the day but emptying in the evening. There is a small section on the left, the one described, and a large one on the right. The same rules seem to apply to both. There does not appear to be any prohibition on vans and panel vans staying overnight. Public toilets five minutes on foot, along the road toward the town center. Market Lane, on the right. Clean and open at night.
Bit confusing to get into but a perfectly good park up for a night. It is right next to Brooke Street car park... The sign for Brooke Street says no sleeping. If you go round past Spring Gardens coach Park, right behind it is the car park. It is very small. We stayed here without charge as left early and it was pleasant before the ferry from Newhaven. Car park was full by the morning.
Great for staying overnight. Enough space even for large motorhomes and very quiet. It slowly became busier around 7:30.
