Cramped beach parking, no electricity

We spent one night in this paid car park. It is close to the beach and the seals, ideal for a good walk along the promenade. Major drawback: the ground is so dusty that we couldn’t eat outside. Finally, some motorhome drivers don’t hesitate to take up two spaces, so don’t hesitate to put them back in place. Happy motorhome user, respectful motorhome user.

It deserves to exist, but in this season everyone is packed very tightly together. With my car trailer it was impossible for me, so I left for the Carrefour car park, where there were about fifteen of us.

A dusty and busy place, but absolutely worth it. The seals, the huge difference between high and low tide, and especially the delicious mussels with a very large portion of fries make this a unique experience. Parking still costs €12, paid in the morning to the very friendly local police.

We had a very good stay at this stopover area... simple, but its simplicity is compensated for by the beauty of the place... three steps from huge beaches, with a cycle path reaching the village and shops in a short time. We were there on a Wednesday, when there was a much-appreciated market. Services are present and working.

Well-located area. Not very private, but it does the job. Great chip stand. Burgers and portions of fries are enormous; bring a very large appetite.

The place itself is not particularly inviting. No shade. At night, however, it is relatively quiet despite being directly on the road. The highlight is certainly the direct access to the seal-watching area. At high tide it is also possible to swim in the sea, but it is not really suitable for dogs, as they have to cross the rocks. Walking dogs in nature is difficult. In the morning at 8 a.m., the police may come to collect €12.

This is a right squeeze, especially with so many people having canopy and tables out. People seek to make it work and it was a quiet night here. It's close to the beach and at low tide, there are so many seals. It's lovely! There is water, chemical disposal and bins, and you pay the police when they come around. It is a great location and that alone was worth it.

Great spot. Near the beach and the seals. The chip stand at the entrance is excellent. Grey-water and toilet emptying are fine, and fresh water is available. You have to pay the municipal police in the morning when they come by.

The place is worth it, the price is fair, and water and waste disposal are included. No electricity. Pitches are a little small, but the beach is truly wonderful.

It deserves to exist, even though people criticize the pitches, dust, lack of shade, and so on. The services work, and we appreciate its proximity to the beach, the promenade along the seawall, the chip shop, and the recycling area, all at a reasonable price. Easy access with no barrier!

Okay for viewing the seals. However, the pitches are far too narrow. We were fine because it wasn’t full. The police come by to collect payment. The chip stand is closed.

We stopped here while going to eat at Berck beach. We left afterwards. Dusty area in full sun, with everyone packed together. Otherwise, magnificent beach.

We continued on after seeing the area. Expensive for what it is and without electricity. We preferred the campsite opposite, which was more expensive but at least had space between the pitches and shade during these very hot days.

It deserves to exist. Very small pitches and lots of dust. Service area operational. Suitable for a short stop, but these tightly packed areas are not my thing.

Very nice motorhome area. Well located. Thank you to the town for welcoming us. It is very quiet despite the large number of motorhomes. Too bad some people don’t play fair and leave early in the morning without paying... €12 including services and close to a magnificent natural site. Let’s behave properly.

In response to the poor ratings for this area: be glad to find this kind of inexpensive place a stone’s throw from a magnificent site with wildlife. Otherwise, go to a campsite!

Frankly, €12 per night with water and waste disposal included, 200 m from the beach, and pets allowed. The fee is paid to the municipal police, who come directly to the motorhome. You can pay in advance for several days, in which case you just put the ticket on the windscreen. Thanks to the municipality for this service.✦Translating

Free parking during the day; we were told it is paid if you stay overnight. Drinking water available. Wastewater and toilet disposal are fine. We could see the seals just at the end of the road. We didn’t stay overnight; it remains too expensive.✦Translating

If you come to visit Berck and see the seals, there is no hesitation necessary. The seals are a few metres away and visible at low tide. The spaces are large enough to park. Thanks to the town of Berck for offering this parking, especially when you see how difficult it is for cars to park in the adjacent, saturated car park.✦Translating

More of a grass car park with narrow spaces. Very close to the seal resting place, only at low tide. The chip-shop smells reach the spaces at the entrance. Thanks to the municipality for offering us this stopover.✦Translating

Beautiful place and almost directly on the beach. You can take wonderful walks, and it is great with dogs too. Payment is made to the municipal police, who come by in the morning or evening to collect it. €12. We will gladly return.✦Translating

I’m giving only one star, and only because you can watch the seals 300 metres away. We drove on from this dusty place. It’s a shame you can hardly even put out a chair because it is so cramped, like sardines in a tin. The place should actually be free, but then I would have driven on anyway. An area that is not very flat and slopes, with a very uneven surface. Spaces are not marked and there is no height barrier. For vans under 1.90 m, the car park next door is free until May 1. I have nothing against paying when the municipal police come by, but if you want to sleep in the morning, think again: at 9 a.m. they knock on your door! A later visit would be appreciated.✦Translating

For one night and visiting Berck, it is absolutely fine and recommended for the price. It is somewhat cramped in places. We were lucky, though. Be sure to pay at the blue hut, otherwise you will get a ticket. The best part of this visit was the seal colony right outside the door.✦Translating

Well-located car park, three minutes to the beach and a leisurely 20-minute walk to town. Nice beach bar. No need to shop, as the chip shop is excellent. Caution: two portions are easily enough for four people. Thanks to the town of Berck for providing the place and to the friendly police who come by to collect the parking fee (€12/24 hours). If you want to see the seals, you are in the right place. They lie a few hundred metres from the pitch. The town is quite nice, apart from a few architectural eyesores. The snack bar is also recommended.✦Translating

Meh... For one night it’s okay, but on top of the potholes, rain, and cold, the English Channel wind shook the motorhome all night!✦Translating

Very nice spot to park. It's right at the beach and quiet. Spots are not big but big enough. There are some puddles here and there, but a bit of smart parking and good tires do the job. No electricity, but drinking water and toilet dump are present. At this time of the year it's free, including services. Make sure you bring an adapter for the water hose.

What a horror!! Holes everywhere; in rainy weather it is muddy and gloomy. We didn’t stay. No shops nearby.

Very close to the seal bay. Spaces in rows, beware of the many holes. Very quiet at night, excellent for a stopover. No electricity, but it is possible to empty and rinse the toilet cassette.

Very good for spending one night and going to see the sea lions. Toilets are accessible day and night next to the seawall. Free and clean! But it fills up quickly!
