Rue Etienne Dollet, 89000, Auxerre
Been here?
Free waterfront parking opposite Auxerre historic center, one footbridge away. Large open area often fills by afternoon. No services except waste bins and public toilets across the bridge. Park only on tarmac or face fines. Expect noise from traffic and people at night despite riverside location.

Excellent daytime parking for exploring Auxerre. Right by the footbridge and free. Perfect.Translating
Great. However, be careful to park on the asphalt and not on the grass; fines are starting to rain down because some people do not understand the difference between the two.Translating
Close to the city center, with its advantages and disadvantages. Large spaces for parking without difficulty. Possibility of spending one night—free.Translating
Great place to visit the city and spend a night.Translating
Quite popular spot. Close to the old town. Noisy and busy.Translating
Luckily we found a space there. Cars also park there and do not respect an area reserved for us. Convenient for visiting the city with the footbridge and, as a bonus, a beautiful view.Translating
Large parking area, lots of cars and motorhomes, somewhat noisy because of traffic coming and going at night. But very close to the center and very convenient with the footbridge. Bin at the entrance and toilets at the end of the footbridge on the town side.Translating
Very beautiful and quiet spot. Right on the banks of the Yonne. Only one pedestrian bridge away from the city center. Waste containers for campers available. The toilet is directly on the other side of the Yonne. Great view of the city panorama from the water.Translating
31 May 2026. Once again we were lucky and found a place here for our 9-meter-long motorhome. You simply have to try. It is always very full. A visit to the city is highly recommended. We will return when we have the opportunity.Translating
Quiet night in this free parking area, without services, with many campers, but the area is 5 minutes from the center. There is a pedestrian bridge across the river, bins, and a picnic area.Translating
Large parking area. It fills up quickly with campers in the afternoon. Waste container by the road. Footbridge to the town center. Leclerc 200 meters away (toilets available).Translating
A large parking area shared by everyone, free, without services except bins, along the Yonne and surprisingly quiet for a city center. Visit the historic center on foot and a very peaceful night.Translating
We arrived at 2:00 p.m.; it was busy, but we could still choose from several spaces for our 7-meter camper.Translating
Absolutely not for motorhomes, unless it is a minivan! Even without the fairground, it was inaccessible for our 9-meter vehicle!Translating
Arrived at noon, useless, no space. Cars park there and a fairground stays there permanently. Found another spot at the stadium parking area as a temporary solution. We are clearly not welcome in this municipality.Translating
The fairground is still here today, but with a bit of luck you can get a space. Otherwise, it is quite nicely located in the center. We were only here to visit the city.Translating
The fairground is still here.Translating
The place was full because of the fun fair, with lots of ordinary cars parked in the spaces intended for us. If it is full and there are cars parked everywhere, do NOT continue along the road unless you love manoeuvring your van backwards in tight spaces. There is NO place to TURN at the end of the road when you choose the left fork.
Magnificent view of the Yonne and Auxerre. Very close to the city center. This free parking area is really convenient for visiting and even spending the night. Thanks to the municipality. La Crêperie du Pont is also a great discovery with very good value for money.Translating
Across the water, pleasant little boats to watch; a nice town center and wonderfully peaceful parking.Translating
Great for visiting and spending the night.Translating
The best spot to park up to now on our trip. Next to the river, beautiful view, quiet (Saturday and no noise), nearby a pedestrian bridge to the old centre. Perfect.
Very convenient for the center, flat and on asphalt. We stayed the night of 29 December 2025, along with another 2 or 3 campers and vans. Unfortunately, at 2 a.m. a group of teenagers banged and shouted against our camper (only ours—perhaps they saw the Italian license plate???). Unfortunately, we could not catch them :/ We only saw them running away. Luckily, our daughters did not wake up.
Very close to the historic center, but parking is chaotic.
Very well-located parking area for visiting the city, with a footbridge crossing the Yonne. Not really suitable for motorhomes; parking is somewhat chaotic! Do not hesitate to visit Saint-Germain Abbey and the museum (free admission). The Cadet Roussel pedestrian route is very interesting for visiting the historic center.
Great parking along the Yonne, with a Leclerc not far away and very close to the city center. There was a small fairground during our visit, reducing the number of parking spaces.
Top location if you are self-sufficient: via the footbridge you are immediately in the city center, and it is very quiet (we were there midweek), despite part of the parking area being occupied by a fairground.
The best thing is the location, since you are in the historic center in 20 minutes. Flat gravel parking, shared with cars. The only service is rubbish collection, but if you are self-sufficient it is ideal for visiting this beautiful city. Thanks to the municipality for reserving these spaces for motorhomes.
Even though there were lots of spaces taken by the funfair there were still spaces for cars and campers. Quiet overnight although the road started getting busy early morning. Very handy to the pedestrian bridge and the town itself.
The parking area was full in the motorhome section, then a vehicle left so we parked in its place. There is a notice from the municipality in the parking area because a fairground will be there from October 6. Whether there will still be spaces for motorhomes, I do not know. Thanks to the municipality for this place near the city center.
Perfect as a place to spend the night and visit the city (the historic center is very close and accessible via a pedestrian footbridge). There is car traffic during the day, but we slept very peacefully. Supermarket nearby. We appreciate the town council thinking of motorhomes by providing/allowing such a convenient space suited to our needs, even though it has no services. Free.
Free parking located just a stone's throw from the city center. We only used it during the day.
Parking area fairly crowded and not exactly peaceful for spending the night, but very convenient for reaching the city on foot, especially when it rains, and accessing the Coulée Verte cycle path.
Perfect for visiting the city, free, thank you Auxerre.
No services, quiet parking area; it is worth it just for the scenery with the church in the background, and it is very close to the center, connected by a pedestrian bridge.
Large, flat parking area. It is alongside a busy road, so it is not a quiet place, but it is ideal for visiting the city.
Large free gravel parking area, flat, shared by cars and campers. Very convenient for visiting the picturesque center.
