Calm lakeside site, frozen services

Very busy, but we were lucky to get a fabulous spot and electricity. On the first night we had to ask to hook up by piggybacking off someone else, then several people did the same to us. Perfect for catching the ferry and doing the bridge walk. Nice restaurants and bars. You have to tolerate some traffic and people noise; it was quite rowdy in the early hours on Friday and Saturday. The toilets were kept very clean despite the crowds. The little store had everything you need.✦Translating

Convenient for doing the two-footbridge hike there and back (about 20 km and 600 m of elevation gain), otherwise take the boat (12 km).✦Translating

The place would have been great, but we could not enter. We arrived at around 9:30 p.m. The barrier was closed and there was no way to get in. We have never seen such a stupid setup. We went to the campsite instead, where someone was present.✦Translating

It could be nice if it weren't for the bar above. Open until 1 a.m., and clearly the locals come here to party. Loud bass and shouting nonstop. I understand people want to party, but this establishment ruins the peace for people staying overnight. With no services, it is not worth the price. A shame.✦Translating

Very quiet spot, beautiful view, beside the lake with pitches reserved for motorhomes. However, the water points and dump station are still winterized and unusable, despite the school-holiday period and resulting crowds, and the toilets are very dirty.✦Translating

Arrived in the off-season; the toilets were closed, and one had been broken into—enter at your own risk. Apart from that, absolutely gorgeous views! Only two other campers, very quiet, and the parking area is relatively flat with a rock or leveling blocks. Further down it is fairly flat.✦Translating

Superb pitch on 06/01/26. We stayed two nights. Free electricity for a small space heater at night. Beside the lake with numerous hikes, including the two Himalayan footbridges. Allow nearly six hours of walking for both.✦Translating

Extremely quiet night, nice spot, but extremely crowded, with all the associated disturbance. The hike starts here, but the trails are also crowded. Off-season might be worthwhile, but I do not recommend it from April to October.✦Translating

Very busy at weekends. Perhaps quieter during the week. Many, many large unleashed dogs on the meadow, by the lake and on the hiking trails, sometimes without their owners. The lake is beautiful, the view wonderful, and it is a good starting point for hikes. We stayed here free of charge at the beginning of October. For that, it was fine.✦Translating

What a beautiful place directly beside the lake. The best thing is that the parking area is free from October 1. However, note that the infrastructure also “goes to sleep”: restaurants, boat rentals, etc. are all closed. The advantage is that you can park wherever and however you like because almost nobody is there anymore. Warning: there is no water either.

We came here a second time on our return journey. The place is so quiet at night, and when the sky is clear you can see the stars through the roof window without light pollution. Even with our “large” 7.5-ton truck, we had no problems getting around.

Excellent pitch with all services. We spent the night of September 14 peacefully. There are many water activities as well as hiking starts. Some shops are open during the season.

Very nice pitches beside the lake at a reasonable rate in September: €13 per day on weekdays. The only problem is that if you want a place with electricity, there are only two hookups, so you need to come during the week. At weekends it is packed! Small grocery and bakery, toilets, dump station and water. The footbridge circuit is very enjoyable when starting by boat shuttle.

It’s a gem! Superb spot so we stayed 3 nights there. The views are breathtaking. We took the boat (mira) to the other side of the lake from where we walked for 14km and that included 2 crossings over metal suspension bridges. Electricity, toilets, fresh water, grey/chemical disposal, tiny grocery with fresh bread/pastries, places to eat. Very quiet. Incredible value for money, we paid 35€.

Very beautiful spot, highly popular! Lots of people and many hikes, especially the Himalayan footbridges. A lack of electrical hookups. The view of the lake is worth it!

Almost perfect; I am taking off one star because the price is a little high, and I find it inconvenient to be mixed in with cars.

€18 for 24 hours, including electricity, water and bins, with a view of the lake, which is reserved exclusively for extreme water sports, so swimming is not allowed. Dogs must be kept on a leash. The site becomes active around 7 a.m. with cars and athletes arriving, but it remains a good experience.

The place is great, especially for this price. Excellent starting point for hiking or boating. There are also restaurants, but it is better to shop beforehand because there is no proper supermarket nearby. It is currently very crowded (August), so people park randomly and cars are constantly driving around. Electricity is available, but you need a pitch near the hookup or a long cable.

There was a lot of motorhomes. We barely found a spot. Very popular place but unfortunately the bar that is next to it got very loud in the evening. The views are very nice but a bit expensive for what it is.

Great parking right on the spot for wing foiling or kiting. we spant 6 days here. Beware Saturday night was a big party here til 2 am loud music drunk people. On other days of the week, it was quiet, cars drive thru the park here and there during the night and day.

*NEGATIVE REVIEW!!!* I am outraged by the experience I just had at this motorhome parking area! The new bar right next door is a nightmare. As soon as night falls, the DJ's blaring music makes the vehicles shake until 2 a.m. This is completely unacceptable! Drunk customers leaving the bar throw stones and even urinate on the motorhomes!

Disgraceful new restaurant-bar producing deafening noise all afternoon until late at night. Hopefully this does not happen every weekend. A shame that this is allowed at a site in the middle of nature.

Terrible. The bar right next door (50 m away) hosts outdoor DJ sets until all hours. Then there are fights and honking from participants parked nearby. Impossible to sleep before 3 a.m.

You will not find anything better this close to the lake, with such a lovely view! €18 for 24 hours; if you stay longer, only the extra hours are deducted. For a good pizza, “Le Spot” is just steps away! We spent two very quiet nights. Kite and wing enthusiasts will love this spot! The Himalayan footbridge hike starts nearby (4 km). Drawback: swimming is forbidden.

Pleasant spot for doing the hike. Relatively flat. Quiet. Several places to eat and a small convenience store. No showers but two toilets. We paid €16 for 24 hours.
