Been here?
This large public parking lot is near a sandy natural beach behind the dunes, with many seating areas, toilets, barbecue facilities and numerous bins. It is suitable for walking, cycling, swimming and dogs, while a footpath leads towards Vejrhøj. The lot has no direct sea view, but the beach is a short walk away and nights are generally quiet. The toilet is open daytime (06-22) from 1/4 - 31/10.

Beautiful parking area with many seating options, a toilet, and rubbish bins. Behind the dunes is a natural beach with white sand and few stones. We spent a peaceful night here.
Beautiful hills with hiking trails on one side, and the sea and beach on the other. Fantastic sunset! We were the only ones staying here overnight. Both we and our dog loved this place. It is a luxury to free-camp in the middle of this wonderful UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our absolute favorite place so far! I would gladly have added more photos that do this place more justice than those already posted.
Everything was as described and mentioned in the comments. I woke shortly after 6 a.m. because of rush-hour traffic. From half past seven it was quiet again. The toilets are clean and there are an incredible number of rubbish bins. The place is very popular with dog walkers and tradespeople taking breaks. In summer it is probably very busy with locals and holidaymakers.
Quiet and close to the beach. With picnic groups, toilets, a barbecue area, and rubbish bins.
Beautiful place with beach access and a toilet! Some beach visitors during the day, very quiet at night. Several campers with motorhomes, vans, roof tents, or tents, including Danes.
great place to sleep, cycle, walk and swim
Very large, level parking area, but no direct view of the sea. Otherwise, everything is available in abundance. The toilet even has an outdoor water supply. Sandy beach, with few or no stones in the water in places, making it nice for swimming.
Large, beautiful parking area directly by the beach, a two-minute walk away. Many picnic tables and a toilet block open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Good starting point for cycling, including Tour de France climbs. We stayed for two nights, the first with two other motorhomes and the second alone. Many locals came to swim during the day in September.
Great spot. Very peaceful location, close to the beach. Extremely clean toilets. Pleasant outdoor area with benches and tables. Invites you to stay longer.
What a great place. Beautiful heathland and dunes within walking distance of the water; the facilities are exceptionally clean. Please keep them that way.
