8900, Vila Real de Santo António
Been here?
A wide, wooded daytime parking area in front of an Intermarché supermarket, useful for shopping and nearby facilities. The supermarket, petrol station, Telepizza, bar, and tobacco shop close at 20,00, while laundry costs 4€ to wash and 1€ to dry. There is no water point, and the marked spaces are intended for cars. A vehicle wash is available, with grey-water emptying reported.

It is not an area; it is a supermarket for shopping. You can park the motorhome while doing your shopping. For sleeping, there is an area that costs €5, but I find it more convenient to sleep here and save the €5.
Very good place if it were not for the number of mosquitoes, like ferocious dinosaurs; they bite even through clothing. In 10 minutes I had 8 bites. Otherwise very good: shop, laundry (€4 washing and €1 drying), Telepizza and diesel; there is no water-filling facility. Everything closes at 20:00, but the area can be entered whenever you want.
Convenient for stopping to visit the city centre, refuel, use the coin-operated washing machine (excellent and cheap) and car wash, and access the bar, tobacconist and lottery counter in the supermarket; many crews stay on the north side and beyond the car wash.
To be avoided: you do not feel safe, and the supermarket does not accept foreign bank cards…!!!
Outrageous that you cannot even use the water when you buy fuel.
Nothing to complain about. The surroundings do not necessarily inspire confidence (wrecked cars, tall buildings, etc.), but we spent a very peaceful night. The washing machines are out of order; no services.
It is spacious and well located. There is no fresh-water tap, nor grey-water disposal. It is curious that they have a washing-machine area but no water. You can get water at the small petrol stations. We did not spend the night, but it looks good.
Quite a good overnight option; it looks unsafe, but we stayed here very peacefully. Note: the dryer does not work, but washing clothes did. The supermarket is a plus.
Hello, I stayed for two nights; a very quiet area with a supermarket next door.
All parking spaces are marked for passenger cars, so any motorhome would be improperly parked. Something to bear in mind.
Good place for visiting VRSA, without services. Shade, supermarket and petrol station. Quiet.
When parking motorhomes, avoid occupying the pavements with the rear overhang; other campers warned me that the local police do not tolerate it. Otherwise everything is fine.
