Sygun Copper Mine allows overnight parking for a fee, recently reported as £10, in a large, level and very quiet gravel car park with mountain scenery. Toilets and the coffee shop are available while the attraction is open, from 9.30am to 5pm; late arrivals can leave payment in the gate letterbox. Beddgelert is approximately 1 mile away via a quiet walking route, and outside WiFi may work near the mine. The narrow bridge may not suit large motorhomes, and tents and fires are prohibited.

We had no problem accessing this car park in our 7.2m motorhome. The car park is level and very quiet overnight. There was no mobile phone signal on EE or Vodafone, but there is WIFI available in the cafe. Lovely walk into Beddgelert along a single track lane with no traffic. Highly recommended for £10.
Great, quiet place with level pitches. Slightly away from the road and the starting point for several hiking trails. Merlin's Pool is worth looking for (about 2 km). If you arrive during opening hours, you can get the Wi-Fi password. It works outside the mine. There is little or no mobile reception in the parking lot.
Very large area with gravel that acts as car park for the copper mine attraction. A narrow small wooden bridge leads over the water to get there. Probably not suitable for large motorhomes. Average camper van was just fine. You pay at the reception, open between 9:30 to 17:30 (June 2026).
Lovely quiet night on a level park up. Staff very welcoming. We were there on our own. Nice walk into Beddgelert or, if you feel fitter, up onto the hill behind. Worth the £10.
great place to stop. Beautiful scenery all around
So peaceful and stunning views. despite the poor weather it was a very secluded & safe spot to park up for the night. 100% will do it again.
Such a peaceful and pretty stop over. Plenty of parking space and room to manoeuvre. 20 mins flat walk in to Beddgelert avoiding the main road.
Very quiet spot with plenty of space. There were six vans, but we were not crowded together at all. No toilets, but recycling bins. Mailbox at the reception entrance for leaving payment if you arrive after the mine closes. Not much phone signal, for information. Thank you to this place for offering such a peaceful overnight option for people in vans :)
a very quiet spot with only 2 other campers who were both gone when I woke up. I paid £10 at the shop and got a ticket for my windscreen. only downside as a solo female there is absolutely no phone reception. if I hadn't already paid I'd have considered moving.
With a 6.5-meter campervan, we did not dare cross the little bridge. Perhaps campervans could do it. What a shame. But we drove on.
We loved it here and car camped for 2 nights, it’s a perfect location. Very quiet, amazing views and it’s large. If you park near the Copper Mine building, you also get access to their outside WiFi which is handy (weak signal but works ok). No bins in the car park but there are near the building. Toilets and cafe in the building opens at 9:30am. Highly recommended. £10 pn which is reasonable.
Everything has been said. A very small road leads from the parking lot to Beddgelert, avoiding walking along the main road. Truly recommended.
brilliant little spot! was only 3 campers there when we got there. Shop was closed when we arrived but walked up and paid in the morning. £10 for the night. Only toilets and hand washing sinks in the shop (within opening hours). Very quiet and got a good night's rest, highly recommend!
Absolutely quiet. Great starry sky. Excellent bike ride around the lake and to the village. No mobile reception. Highly recommended!
Very cool place! Will be back
Great place for a nights stay. Very quiet and very dark skies. Nice riverside water to Beddgelert. Pay at the cafe or leave it in the post box on the gate if the place is closed.
Really lovely and peaceful spot only 20min walking distance from Beddgelert. There is also nice path alongside the river. No facilities at this location so you need to be self sufficient. If you arrive after hours there is a small postbox to drop your fee or you can pay at the shop following day.
Very beautiful, peaceful parking lot. We stayed overnight and visited the copper mine the next day. It is definitely worth a visit!
Beautiful spacious paved parking lot. Very quiet and reasonably level. A visit to the mine is definitely worthwhile.
Stayed for 1 night recently on a Saturday in June 2024. Only 2 other campervans, large car park with room to spread out. Very quiet, no road noise, no light pollution. Will use again in future. Had no phone signal with O2.
Nice quiet spot for the night. You can pay up in the morning and have a nice coffee at the shop. No phone connection
Parking lot at the copper mine. £10 per night. Toilets can be used during opening hours.
Great large flat car park for an overnight stay. There were 3 other campers when we stayed. Great walks including one into town and a nice little park for children. No facilities but felt £10 was worth it. Thank you
Access road a bit tight for our large Motorhome, but fine. Recommend you approach Beddgelert using the A4085, if you have a big motorhome. Stayed one night. Paid £10 at the shop when arrived. Also paid an extra £5 to park the next day, so could go for a walk in the local hills. Brilliant location. Great views. Ideal if you have a Van with all you need & just want a stop over.
level parking lot off of the road, plenty of space and great access to snowdonia park.
great stay but found a suspicious nail in my tyre the next morning after driving off. Jury's out if it was an accident or not.
Incredible views! Big car park, only 2 other campers when we stayed. Noticed no noises, lights, cars. A little busier in the daytime. £10 for overnight parking, but access to lots walks. (No/VERY little phone signal)
