Paid beachside overnight parking

Super beautiful here, with a kiosk directly at the spot. Everything is easy and quiet.

Well located, and we spent a quiet night.

Great location. Easy walk to beach and a fab seafood restaurant. Signs indicate it's between 1900-1000 for vans, and information card from the campsite next door reception states campers from 1900-1000 only, but we and others parked without issue. Plenty of space for vans, level, very quiet except a bit of noise from the campsite next door. €1.20/hr

We stayed here for 20 hours for €18. The area was packed with at least 12 motorhomes among cars parked haphazardly. It would be interesting to know the price of the services; perhaps someone will add it here. We found €18 for a parking area with a bin rather expensive. The location by the beach is of course great, and the night was quiet!

Although you now have to pay €0.60 per hour, it remains a great place to stay in winter. We stayed for almost three days. It is very quiet, and you can walk and cycle perfectly well. Strandpaviljoen Puur is a five-minute walk away; in winter it is open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

As parking is now only allowed in the eight motorhome spaces and no longer in the entire parking lot, it is no longer worth driving there. The risk of not finding a space is far too high. Two of the spaces are suitable only for VW buses.

We always enjoyed staying here. According to the sign, it is free until March. Unfortunately, we still had to pay €0.60 per hour. What a shame.

Rate announced from November 21, 2025: €0.60 per hour. I stayed there for eight hours. To leave, I was forced to pay €18 at the automatic machine. This is simply theft.

We were there in October. It is perfectly fine for an overnight stay. If you want to stay longer, price-wise you might as well go to the campsite, which is probably what is intended. But if you arrive late in the evening and need a place to spend the night, this spot is also top-notch without electricity. We felt comfortable.

Great option for one night!

Very nice campsite near the North Sea. Very good pizzeria near the beach. The site map is a little confusing, and we did not find the pitch immediately. But we would gladly return.

Great place for self-sufficient campers. You are NOT supposed to use the sanitary facilities of the neighboring campsite. Staying there costs approximately €40. First hour free.

Good place to sleep for one night, and the sea is easy to reach. Very quiet parking area. The sanitary facilities at the neighboring campsite could be used. The pizza at the restaurant next door was delicious.

Ideal for a short overnight stay, plenty of parking, quiet, shop available, clean pitches and sanitary facilities. We arrived in the evening and visited the beach briefly the next day.

Great place to stop with children with a nice playground next to the parking that is part of the camping. Restaurant and shop and toilets also right beside. 1.20/h and after 16h 2.40/h.

Great location for a stopover, right on the beach. Definitely worth repeating.

The campsite is generally open from the penultimate or last Thursday in March until the first Monday in November. Parking is free outside these times. The pitches are on the campsite’s visitor/second-car parking area, meaning no electricity or water connections and no service point. There are several beach pavilions with restaurants and toilets on the beach on weekends. WARNING: Parking fee in summer = NO free use of the showers or service point.

Very beautifully located, directly behind the dunes with a wonderful beach. The campsite’s sanitary facilities may be used. Unfortunately, there is no electricity. Nevertheless, a very good choice for one night.

Thanks to Strandcamping Groede for this great opportunity to stay here in winter. I hope all users appreciate it, follow the rules and leave everything tidy. During the season, the associated campsite is highly recommended.

Good place to spend the night, unfortunately all the sanitary facilities and so on are closed, but you do not have to pay anything. We uploaded a picture explaining everything again.

Nice little spot in car park for large camp site. Pretty level. Short walk to beautiful beach with a couple of restaurants on the beach. We had a lovely meal at restaurant Puur. Unfortunately when we stayed in late June there was a very noisy family right through the hedge on the camp site, but that's the risk of being next to a big camp site (just as it would be on a site). Would stay again.

Successful camping stop in a region where sleeping in a van is prohibited, as far as we could tell. Several spaces, some of them very pleasant, with little rabbits as evening companions. Next to a campsite, so it has a campsite atmosphere; for those used to sleeping in the wild, it may be a change.

Expensive for just a camper pitch, with none of the facilities: €32 for 21 hours. The first hour is free. We stayed for 22 hours. The grounds are well maintained, though.

€16.80 for 16 hours. Check in and get a card, pay at the machine in the 15-minute parking area, and check out using the QR code on the ticket. Toilets are available at the campsite snack bar.

Nice place to spend the night.

“There’s one of those fellows who isn’t what he claims to be.” (The Hateful Eight) The area is paradise: a huge beach is just beyond a dune from the parking area, with a large terrace serving beer, fried food, croquettes and more, and an unobstructed view of cargo ships sailing toward Antwerp. The only drawback is the busy parking area and cars parking in the camper spaces. It is best to arrive early or late.
