A large car park in the national park, suitable for daytime visits but with overnight stays forbidden. It is a good base for walks, with beautiful surroundings and frequent wild horses. Friendly geese are also present.

90% of new forest land is owned by the crown, (king Charles III) who encourages recreational use. forestry have no jurisdiction to enforce silly rules in nature. Respect the place, leave no trace and you'll be fine. Absolutely beautiful, also the friendliest geese you'll ever come across, I've never had a Canadian geese come close and sit on my lap
