€5 is definitely not too expensive. The grass is mowed. Small shop in the village. Good butcher in the village. Barbecue shelter at the site. You need to bring your own charcoal.
Thanks to the municipality. Sunny and shaded spots are available. Plenty of space. If needed, you can use electricity for a small fee. €5 per day is perfectly reasonable with no hassle—just put the money in and you're done. Arrival and departure possible 24/7. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place.
Beautiful, quiet site for €5 per 24 hours. Grey-water disposal available. 20 minutes on foot to the poppy fields. A good starting point for hikes that pass directly by the site.
Very nice site. Just drive there and put the €5 overnight fee in the box. Electricity costs €2 per 2 kWh. Germerode is a hidden gem. Highly recommended.
Great, quiet place.
We stayed here for two nights. Everything was great! We slept peacefully, went on a wonderful hike, and ate delicious food in the village. Thanks for the lovely site!
We arrived shortly before midnight, and there were three other motorhomes at the site. Everyone still had more than enough space. The fee of €5 per night and the electricity charge remain unchanged. There are currently lots of mosquitoes, flies, etc.; the grass is unmowed, with some thistles and nettles.
Very nice, quiet site with grey-water disposal and electricity. Water is available in the village at the volunteer fire brigade. The information center's toilets and other activities are easily reachable on foot. Excellent.
This is now my third time here, and it is always a wonderfully quiet spot. Above all, I like the relaxed atmosphere, with the honesty box and so on. You can see that it works wonderfully, and I hope all guests are always honest. The price of €5 per night remains unchanged and cannot be beaten. Thanks for this great place! I will come a fourth time too!
A real gem for children and parents. We stayed here with another camper for two days. The cherry trees, a small paddock, an animal park, the poppy fields, and the picturesque surroundings are special. There is plenty of space. Fresh water is easily available at the fire station. Grey water can be disposed of on site. Good internet reception.
A very quiet place. We will come here again.
We stayed here for one night. The next day we walked to the poppy fields, which were almost finished blooming. The site for €5—thanks for the nice little spot. Best regards, Travelmonika.
Very, very nice site. Perfectly adequate and simply lovely for us.
We stayed one night—wonderfully quiet, for €5. What more could you want? Spacious meadow, not divided into pitches, but sensible campers keep at least 3 meters apart. Highly recommended. And the poppy bloom is spectacular.
Thank you to the municipality for the lovely site. Unfortunately, we were a little too early to see the poppy bloom. We will come back.
Very nice, quiet place, with wonderful hiking trails and sunny spots! You have to get the water and empty grey water down at the fire station though. We were completely alone!
Spacious grassy site in the countryside, with views of trees and fields. A fantastic offering from the municipality for €5—thank you very much.
A place just as you would wish for! Simple and good. Electricity for those who need it. Quietly located right by the small village, with a great bakery in the village shop—what more do you need?
Absolutely brilliantly done! I wish all sites were this relaxed and hassle-free! I've marked it with a big tick on my list. I come from far in the east and will regularly stop here on the way to North Rhine-Westphalia or Holland. Great praise to the municipality. I hope all future campers behave themselves so this site can be preserved for a long time.
A great site in the countryside. Excellent value for money; it has everything you need. Water is available for a donation at the fire station, and the village shop lacks nothing. Both are within walking distance. We will gladly come back.
We just drove past there. A great initiative by the town and apparently free, but we left in our car because it was too crowded for us. It is peak season, after all. About 20 motorhomes are currently there. Further down there is a glass-recycling container and a small car park, with sheep next door.
Everything is great. The site is above the area with the glass containers. You can barely hear the country road farther up the hill, so it is a truly quiet and idyllic place with great opportunities for walking and hiking. It could just use a little love and maintenance. Water and disposal are at the fire station, where the village shop is also located (about 500 m away).
Fantastic place. Nice and spacious and green. You can empty the cassette and fill up with water at the fire station.
