A large, free and mostly quiet car park for visiting Montemor-o-Velho Castle, where overnight stays are permitted. It has no services, although WiFi works well and the electricity connection was not functioning. The castle is nearby, with escalators leading uphill, riverside walks and restaurants close by; on Wednesdays, use the car park instead of the main esplanade because of the market.

We spent a quiet night after visiting the castle. It is worth it; you can even go up by escalators, although unfortunately two of the three were out of order for us. Great for walking along the river. Trash bins available. During the day, driving students and walkers use the parking area.
Large parking lot. Three escalators lead up to the castle. Probably okay for staying overnight. You are simply parked there like an exhibit.
Perfect for an overnight spot in a very pleasant town. We slept peacefully with a view of the illuminated castle, until the sound of the bells at 8 o’clock. Large medieval castle to visit from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., free admission.

Excellent spacious parking area very close to the castle, located in the center of town. Wi-Fi works very well. It is possible to connect the motorhome to electricity, but it was not working when I visited. Thank you very much.

Huge pitch. Not designated as a motorhome site. No prohibition signs. Sports facilities next door. Very impressive castle complex above the town.
A huge marquee is currently being erected on the large square for an event. It is therefore closed. However, you can park in some truck spaces in front of it.
Great place to stop for the night. flat and quiet. Nice walks near river and to the castle.
It was perfect until a refrigerated truck parked nearby... We moved and the night was quiet! Beautiful visit to the ramparts this morning, accessible by several escalators. Public toilets at the parking area. Large sports field, river, and an interpretation center also worth seeing. No motorhome services.
Excellent, very quiet, with an incredible view. Spaces are quite wide. The electricity points were not working. It is a shame there is no dumping area.
great to visit the castle but at the moment t half the car park is being used for a festival of music and food with a large tent. avoid until end of march 2024. unless you want to attend.
A quiet night in this huge parking area, where we were alone. The castle cannot be visited on Mondays. But we were able to walk around the walls.
Very good location for visiting the castle. Quiet night, but beware of the Wednesday market so you are not caught by surprise.
