Convenient cycling stop, industrial noise

Great parking for motorhomes at €6.50, really cheap compared with the one at Bec de Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, which costs €8.50 and is very noisy. Here it is quiet at night, and we are also very close to the town.

At first glance it is not too bad, but it is difficult to find a pitch where you cannot hear noise from the adjacent industrial area. It is the only place in Sainte-Croix for motorhomes. Acceptable for one night and visiting the town by bike, but no longer.

Then people wonder why we have lost a service area. Instead of taking their rubbish to the next parking area, some people prefer to ignore the prohibitions. There is no age limit for being disrespectful.

Better than nothing. The farther back you park, the louder the compressor or cooling system of the industrial building across the street. It is noisy during the day because it is close and buses pass by. The grassy area, benches, sports lake, and 15-minute walk to the town center/bridge are positives. Three stars only for that reason. Better to continue to Sables… good for sightseeing, but not for sleeping.

Tuesday, April 21, 2026 Parking for one night on asphalt and gravel. Easy to access and quiet. Close to the town center for walking. Personally, this kind of area is enough for me.

I think Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie does not like motorhome travelers. The area is located in an industrial zone. Access to the waste bins requires a bank card. In addition, the Super U and Leclerc supermarkets have installed barriers 2.10 m high. We moved on. We ended up at the turtle area in Saint-Jean-de-Monts. €14.20, services included.

Area marked as “greyed out on the app.” After calling the tourist office, nothing was wrong (not cool). However, there were construction works when we arrived and a diversion that we followed. We drove around in circles... Eventually we were able to get in; the workers let us pass. Really frustrating.

Parked in the spaces at the back. Nothing to complain about. Properly marked gravel spaces. The area is quiet despite being near a departmental road leading to a roundabout. The location and our two-day stay were perfect.

€6.50 for 24 hours, good geographically, but not great because the spaces are on gravel beside the road. Some people found a workaround by setting up for free on the grassy sports field right next door, with unlimited electricity and water. Let’s hope I would not be moved on quickly if I did the same...

Paid overnight parking, but no services included. Near a noisy factory and a busy road. I do not recommend it for the night, but it is ideal during the day because it is close to the town center.

Mr. Mayor, a little less pride in your town, please! It is not even suitable for welcoming motorhomes. Tokens for water are available at the tourist office... but the offices are closed! The bins are inaccessible unless you pay by bank card. No wonder most people dump their rubbish illegally. More elected officials who only care about appearances!

No token, no fresh water. The token must be bought at the tourist office... Waste disposal is free. Great.

Shame on the municipality for parking motorhomes along a road, opposite a very noisy factory. Another negative point: no bins. Advice: go to the end of the street; the motorhome area is more pleasant, with nice spaces and, above all, quieter.

Parking close to the town center, convenient for walking around. Football stadium and city sports field. The major downside: the factory noise. Grey-water and cassette disposal are free. Water is paid.

Regarding the factory, if you come on the weekend there is no noise problem from 5:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Expensive parking on sloping asphalt with no bins. The Saint-Gilles town hall does not like motorhomes; move on, there are much better places elsewhere.

It does not even deserve one star, with factory noise on one side and the smell as well! On the other side there is a freely accessible football field. Honestly, €6.50 for this! No respect for motorhome travelers! Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, never again!

Overnight spot and nothing more, noisy. Free in winter, with grey water and cassette disposal. Water is available by token, but the tokens are difficult to obtain, only during shop opening hours. The village and harbor are about a 10-minute walk away. Nice to visit.

Area located not far from the town, which is worth visiting. Minor drawback: the neighboring factory hums all night.

We parked during the day to walk into town, around the harbour, marina, old town, new town, promenade to La corniche totally free until 7pm then payment of decide to overnight. Lots of space when we arrived at 11am busier when we returned to the van at 4pm.

Shameful for a town like St. Gilles. The services are designed to drive you away. Tokens at the tourist office, a bin badge. What a shame, the town is very beautiful.

Parking space, access to grey and black water dump. Extra for water (for which tokens can be purchased from the Tourist Office in the town itself). 5-10min walk into the town which is a lovely place to visit. Right next to factory which started up at 4.45am.

Whatever you do, do not go all the way to the back of the area. Cars pass by because of the road next to it, and the company opposite makes noise early in the morning.

It deserves credit for existing, but it does not make you want to stay...

I am here and have just spent the night. Go to the back of the parking area, leave the angled parking spaces, and continue to the back on the right. Paved surface, paid parking at €6.50, but no services; those are paid for at the service area with tokens. No bins, except with a code.
