Camping De La Capelle

I recommend this campsite for its spacious, tree-shaded pitches, but also for an absolutely delicious homemade cassoulet, not to mention the profiteroles and perfect local wine. We will gladly make the detour again.

A lovely little campsite, just like its owner, who prepares excellent cassoulet and profiteroles. The sanitary facilities are very clean and the water is hot. However, you need a bicycle or other transport to get to Castelnaudary. A good address to remember.

A perfect site, ideal for the Canal du Midi and Carcassonne! The owners are warm, helpful and always reachable; there is wonderful homemade food. The site is nicely shaded and the sanitary facilities are absolutely clean. Too nice for just one night on the way through, so we spontaneously extended our stay. Gladly again, Sabine and Franz.

Lovely little campsite in the shade of oak trees. New and very practical sanitary facilities (large showers). Excellent value for money. You can enjoy cassoulet served on the terrace for €28 (a little expensive), but in a pleasant setting. We will return without hesitation.

Superb, very peaceful place with a sublime view of the Pyrenees. A very friendly, personal welcome, especially compared with the municipal campsite terminal in Castelnaudary, which we fled. Excellent cassoulet prepared by the owner. Truly homemade, made with love and experience. The profiteroles were equally good. A delight. The meal was shared with the campers like in the old days. Quiet place in nature in the heart of Lauragais. You can take walks or hikes nearby. Charming campsite. New sanitary block with four showers. Electricity. You can order a delicious cassoulet served at your motorhome. A must-do!

I can only say the same as the people who noted that this farm campsite is excellent in every respect. I won't even mention their homemade cassoulet—it's absolutely amazing. You have to order it three days in advance, but it is a pure delight for the taste buds. The sanitary facilities are spotless and Estelle's welcome is wonderfully kind. I recommend it without hesitation.

We spent two nights there and do not regret our choice at all. Perfect, attentive welcome, clean and functional sanitary facilities... A little hike to Saint-Papoul (abbey circuit), delivery of the famous 'royal' cassoulet to the motorhome and pizza the next day! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! 'You have to go!' I uploaded a photo of the cassoulet, but it was REFUSED... (what nonsense).

Perfect: a very shady, quiet place with a warm welcome, and on top of that you can eat an excellent traditional cassoulet cooked in a wood-fired oven (family recipe). Excellent. What more can I say? A great welcome, a nicely shaded pitch, a beautiful bike ride along the canal to Castelnaudary, a very good dinner with a generous homemade cassoulet cooked over a wood fire, and homemade desserts. A very lovely stopover before Carcassonne.

Charming welcome and very quiet campsite. Many cycle tourists with their tents. Very clean sanitary facilities set among oleanders. We paid for a van without electricity, with free use of the laundry facilities—very affordable.

By chance, we followed the campsite signs and arrived at a magnificent, peaceful, beautifully wooded campsite! Great welcome, clean sanitary facilities. And the added bonus: a drinks and dining area! So lovely!! We highly recommend it!

What a lovely surprise: this wooded campsite has beautiful grassy pitches and is very well maintained! A nearby cycle path leads to the Canal du Midi! And the homemade cassoulet cooked over a wood fire is incredible… enjoy it without moderation! We will return.

Magnificent! Every box is ticked: nature, peace and quiet, welcoming atmosphere, quality pitch and clean sanitary facilities! The icing on the cake: homemade cassoulet served hot at the motorhome, a real delight!!!
