Been here?
Quiet parking for visiting the Oppidum and archaeological museum, with superb views and walks around the site. It is used by visitors during the day, while overnight stays are generally calm, though early visitors may arrive in good weather. Water is available near the museum or ticket office, but there are no other services. Avoid the route through Colombiers, where a 2.10m restriction blocks larger vehicles.

Very quiet place, good reception. Please keep this place clean.
We spent a quiet night in the museum parking lot. We arrived too late to visit the museum, but the walk on the upper esplanade is really worthwhile. Beautiful view over the dried-up pond. A water point is available in front of the ticket office. On the way out, take a short walk to the Malpas Tunnel on the Canal du Midi.
Perfect for a quiet night. But visitors arrive early when the weather is fine…
Magnificent spot! Splendid view, cultural walk, and hike to the canal with its superb tunnel…
Weird experience. At 00:00, I started hearing a bunch of people screaming "o padre o padre", some music in the background, they walked probably up the hill and intensity was varying. Quite scary since I didn't see anything. It looked like some kind of ezo ritual. The only beautiful place I left in my underwear, haha. I don't want to lower the beauty of this place, probably just bad luck.
No services, but a super location. We spent a quiet night there and started the day with a walk.
Quiet, level, and with views of the curious radial medieval gardens. During the day it is the visitor parking lot for the archaeological site, so park properly to avoid causing inconvenience.
outstanding place. the car park for the Oppidum. wonderful sunset. fantastically interesting museum. don't approach through Columbiers. our VW transporter only just got through the restricted road barrier!
The satnav took me through Colombiers and we could not reach the parking lot because the village has installed a 2.10 m-wide restriction and we could not fit through. What a shame.
Very quiet place with a superb view—we recommend it!
We stopped in the carpark opposite the one pictured with more shade from pine trees. Fairly level and quiet. Water up the hill at the museum and bins in the carpark.
Lovely place for one night under the pine trees. Beautiful view of the valley and a refreshing little breeze.
Superb quiet place with a very beautiful view. Dirt parking lot, bring leveling blocks. Arrive after 6 p.m. for peace and quiet. No services. A recommended site for spending a good night. Three motorhomes today.
A magnificent, quiet place, and relatively clean apart from two “deposits” left with toilet paper. Is it really so difficult to pick up your own crap when there is a bin in the parking lot? I cleaned it up; unfortunately, my dog likes that too much. Please respect the planet and the places where you stay—otherwise everything will eventually be prohibited!
