Been here?
A daytime parking option near a church, with a magnificent lake view and a restaurant at the summit. The upper parking area is forbidden to vans and motorhomes; vehicles may park about 50 metres lower at the start of a hiking route. Bivouacking is prohibited throughout the area, although the lower location is described as quiet.

Well... we did not really believe what was written... and yet. The entire area prohibits wild camping. The view is not the same either, because the vegetation has grown considerably. In short, move on. With a 4x4 and a rooftop tent, we ended up on a path below with a superb view, but the owner of the house below came out and told us that it would soon be marked as prohibited.Translating
The upper parking lot is prohibited for vans and motorhomes, but you can park 50 meters lower at the start of a hiking trail. Very beautiful view of the lake. Quiet place. Restaurant at the summit with a magnificent view.Translating
Three or four spots at the summit next to the church, plus several other spots farther down. Superb view of Lake Maggiore. Quiet night.Translating
I do not recommend it; there are many “no camping” signs. Nevertheless, the view is worth seeing. We moved on.Translating
Upon arrival we found a sign in the parking lot of the local authorities that camping in the vicinity of the religious site is prohibited. We arrived late and ofcourse because of the ban we couldn’t stay on this place. We had problems finding a suitable place to sleep in the area. All was full. Too bad this wasn't mentioned earlier on this page on Park4Night.Translating
A little disappointed by the spot despite the very good reviews. The view is beautiful but not directly from the parking space; you have to go to the church, though that is not necessarily a problem. However, the nearby restaurant is packed and many vehicles completely fill both parking lots, with constant arrivals and departures. No privacy at all...Translating
Quiet place, in a clearing or in the church parking lot right at the top (4 spaces). Other spaces are in the clearing. Beautiful view of the lake from the top by the church.Translating
Free parking, steep and narrow access for our 6.50 m van. The church parking lot above can accommodate four vans and offers an unobstructed view, but it was full when we arrived. We parked below in a clearing, very pleasant and quiet. Space for eight vans or motorhomes. The bells rang at 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. (60 strikes!). Poor 4G signal.Translating
Peaceful and quiet place with an incredible view of Lake Maggiore. Next to a small church; the bells ring until 8 p.m. and start again at 7 a.m. The approach is quite steep for a large van, but the view makes the difficulty worthwhile. A small bonus: there is a little tap beside the chapel to refill your water. Great place!Translating
Quiet place; the free parking lot can easily accommodate five vans. Be careful, the access road is narrow and very steep. The view is superb when you wake up—you overlook the lake and are above the clouds. A restaurant is right next to the church and opens at noon. No sanitary facilities, but there is a small water fountain (whether potable or not, I do not know). Benches where you can have your coffee while enjoying the view.Translating
Nice place! High altitude and fairly "far away". We stayed at the parking downstairs. Nice view and lots of lizards. The road here is through a mountain village with narrow roads. No problem with 5.99 m van, but would not want to go with a bigger mobile home. Water fountain by the church (okay to use?).Translating
Spot in front of the church with a magnificent view of the lake. We stayed one night in April; it was very quiet.Translating
A great spot. We spent a very quiet night, and in the morning there is a superb view of the lake. The road is sometimes narrow; we have a Master H2L2 and reached the top without any problem. Flat place.Translating
Beautiful spot on the square in front of the church. A magnificent view and quiet at this time of year.Translating
We spent a very peaceful night. We were parked with our truck in front of the church. We were awakened by the church bells. The only drawback is virtually no signal. Be careful not to park in the bends, as there are houses opposite the church on the uphill road.Translating
We parked in the lower lot because the church is under construction and the workers arrive around 7:30 a.m. There is some noise until 10:30 p.m. because it is also the restaurant parking lot. But if you park right at the back, it is not bothersome.Translating
Very good spot; we spent the night there in early August, in the upper area. Unfortunately, we were not undisturbed because of the construction work, but that did not prevent us from enjoying the place and its beautiful view of the lake.Translating
Spacious and very quiet at night. We were woken at 6 a.m. by a worker mowing the grass. Perhaps intentionally to drive us away? We parked in the lower lot, which is shaded; the upper one has a better view but is in direct sunlight! Very lovely view from the church.Translating
We used the lower area. A few cars arrived early in the evening (walkers and restaurant customers). Quiet night. Be careful: a hornet visited our van during the evening. Spacious pitch. There were four vehicles when we woke up.Translating
At night, both possible spots (the lower parking area and the small upper lot near the church) are very quiet. However, you have to wait until 7:30 p.m. for all the walkers to leave; otherwise there are about ten cars there constantly. Despite this, we really enjoyed the spot. The icing on the cake is the magnificent view of the lake from the church.Translating
