Reservoir parking, very sloped

A very large public parking lot beside the reservoir and forest, where vehicles can spread out and nights are very quiet. The surface is quite sloped, and suitable spaces may be difficult to find during busy June or July weekends. Wanderers begin arriving around 7:30. A hotel with a restaurant and summer beer garden is nearby.

There may be a suitable spot on the edge in June or July, perhaps even on a beautiful weekend, but certainly only in the evening! It was too sloped for me; I do not want to stand on such a parking area on leveling chocks. For both reasons, I drove on.
Very large area where you can easily keep out of each other's way. Very quiet at night; from 7:30 a.m. the first hikers arrived and parked their cars. Do not expect too much from the swimming area at the reservoir: the water is rather murky and the bottom muddy, but it is more than adequate for cooling off.
