1-3 Rue Nationale, 37190, Azay-le-Rideau
Been here?
Flat parking beside the Indre, close to shops and within walking distance of the château. A 2.20m barrier limits access, and free public toilets and bins are available, although the toilets are closed in winter. The area is calmer after 19:00, but the nearby waterfall can be clearly heard at night.

Near the castle. From 7 p.m., the nearby road becomes quiet and the parking area empties of cars. Two other vans spent the night here. Another parking area farther on has no height restriction for motorhomes.
Parking near the water and the “L’îlot” guinguette. Very pleasant and quiet place. 2.20 m barrier, free public toilet, rubbish bins. Close enough to walk to the castle.
Very good night with the sound of the waterfall. Clean parking area; the next one was flooded and covered in mud. 2.20 m height limit.
Quiet place, ideal for one night. Sanitary facilities closed in winter. Perfect for a van.
Quiet area with public toilets closed at 7 p.m. and a children's playground. Cheese and charcuterie restaurant 100 meters away. The river really is noisy: you can hear it when sleeping in the overcab bed.
Very pretty parking area right in the town center. The waterfall noise is very, very prominent (70 decibels)! The town lights do not go out before midnight. The castle is very close. Azay-le-Rideau is a lovely town.
Very charming stop. Very clean and well-maintained toilet; I got up at 7 a.m. and the room had just been cleaned. Very quiet at night, apart from the sound of the water. Most of the people parked there were at the picturesque little bar, which I could not visit because I arrived too late. The barrier is indeed 2.20 m; my 2.10 m vehicle passed easily, but check yours.
Very beautiful place. Quiet. Clean. Small extension over the water, sheltered by plane trees, ideal for a picnic. Toilets nearby and clean.
Quiet place to spend a night after the guinguette closes. Clean toilets. No time limit, making it easy to stay and visit the castle and village on foot. Picnic tables and benches beside the Indre, very pleasant because they are shaded.
Free parking where overnight stays are allowed for vehicles with a maximum height of 2.20 m. It is next to the river and beside a lightly trafficked road. There are public toilets (no showers) and a bar. It is a five-minute walk from the castle entrance and the village center. We did not spend the night, but it looks very good!
Very practical, 2.2 m barrier, little traffic on the road, so the only noise is from the water dam.
One night in April. Great quiet place, 400 m from the center, with very clean toilets. 2.20 m barrier, suitable for a van.
Beautiful view of the Indre and its bridge. Opposite a bar that hosts concerts. Walking access to the castle, shops, and restaurants.
Great place! Toilets available and relatively clean, which can be useful! Quiet and peaceful parking area with the Indre beside it. Places to eat nearby, two minutes from the center and three minutes from the castle.
Nice and convenient place. Some young people were partying in the forest, but it was nothing serious. Free and not far from the town center. Perfect for the night!
