Parking along the boulevard about 4 km from the summit of Vesuvius costs 5 euros. A taxi to the summit costs 1 euro per person, while walking takes 1.5 hours. Side-street parking has little space and is often full, so it is not recommended for large motorhomes; bus line 808 also stops here and goes to Vesuvius.

You can turn off the main road into the side street and park along the roadside. However, there is little space and the spots are usually all occupied. Not recommended for large motorhomes. Bus route 808 stops here and goes up to Vesuvius—€1.50 per person each way.
