Been here?
A small forest viewpoint near the path to the Merelle observatory, but the access road is very steep and currently inaccessible to vehicles. Vehicle access is prohibited from 01/06 to 30/09, and recent information reports a general parking prohibition. The observatory is accessible on foot.

Access road prohibited to all vehicles from 1 June to 30 September. Access to the Mérelle tower on foot!
The road to the tower is closed to cars, vans and other vehicles from the lake. Only pedestrians and bicycles are allowed. Municipal order of 27 March 2023 for the summer period.
Very quiet. But in the morning, a man transporting wood on a large forestry machine told me that the path had been closed to vehicles since 1 June. He was unloading large logs in front of my car. I left.
Quiet place, surrounded by nature. Cool location at this time of year, near the Mérelle waterfall. Unfortunately, a noisy wake-up when hunters arrived, which also prevented us from visiting the waterfall. Avoid during hunting season; otherwise, excellent.
Perfect for a stopover. Several hiking trails nearby, especially the observation point offering views of Lake Gérardmer. Quiet night with other vans :)
I am here in a motorhome, 2.30 m high, and it fits. But you need to drive precisely!
