Neusser Straße, 50126, Bergheim
Been here?
This is a quiet overnight parking area in a natural setting, suitable for walking dogs and used by cyclists. Recent stays have sometimes been peaceful and felt safe, but dog walkers and passing cars are common. There have also been recent disturbances involving vehicles and people using nitrous oxide balloons. The place is mainly suitable for a single overnight stay.

We arrived on a weekday around 8 p.m. and had a quiet dinner. However, we felt completely uncomfortable when it was clear that some sort of handover was taking place between three ordinary cars and one van. One car subsequently drove toward us, with an inflated balloon in the driver's hand, to make sure we had definitely seen nothing. Drug spot... We left.
We stayed here on August 7. There was no one else and we had a very peaceful night. Definitely recommended!
We stayed here for one night recently. It seemed safe. Used by dog walkers and cyclists. During the night 4 young men parked by us and were using Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) from filled balloons. Whilst they were having a great time laughing and joking, we were very nervous. They didn’t approach us or our van, but it made for a sleepless night!
We stayed at this place from Friday to Saturday. It felt like all of Bergheim drove there by car to walk their dogs. There was a constant stream of people coming and going even at night. There is a bin, which was already overflowing when we arrived. The great thing about the site was the short walk into the old town. It is well worth stopping at the Extrablatt Café there.
Well located in itself. Quite busy during the day, which is not a problem; the road is audible but not too bad. However, it was not quiet for us. The first night there was noise from around 10 p.m. until about 2:30 a.m., a car with young people and music. The second night started the same way, so we changed places immediately.
