This wild spot has three large parking areas, additional spaces in the woods and plenty of room near a lake, river and mountains. It is generally calm, with shade available and a section where dogs can reach the lake. The access road is bumpy and may be difficult for motorhomes, while the nearby highway creates background noise.

Wonderful place! In the middle of nature with a beautiful view, yet easily accessible. Many spaces, with three large areas as well as shaded spots.
Perfect base for the surrounding off-road Alpine passes, hikes, and mountain-bike tours. Very quiet apart from the sound of the motorway. There is room for dogs by the lake, and it is otherwise very beautiful. Bins are also available.
Absolutely relaxing spot surrounded by greenery (and free). If you want to spend a night in nature with a lovely lake where you can swim, you’re in the right place. Suitable for vans. Suitable for motorhomes.
It’s looks an amazing location to spend a few day. The road was too bumpy for my motorhome so I didn’t go but I parked in Salbertrand and did a trail run until the lake and saw the location. The less one star is for the really bumpy road. You can hear the autoroute but I didn’t think it’s loud. Many people camping and making barbecue.
Beautiful, flat place with the forest nearby and mountain views. Too bad about the noise from the nearby motorway.

Several possible bivouac spots, even next to a picnic table; everything is flat! The nearby lake is great. It is quiet, but there is background noise from the nearby motorway (not bothersome).

Good spot among the trees with a view of the mountains. You can hear a little traffic in the distance, but it did not bother us. The lake is not quite suitable for swimming, and it is unfortunate to see toilet paper lying around everywhere.
Great spot, quiet (you can hear the motorway a little in the distance, but nothing once inside our vehicle). Bins nearby. Lake Orfu right next door (inaccessible at night) is very charming.
