Been here?
Small free parking about 100 m from the beach and around 15 minutes’ walk from the centre of Franceville. A height barrier now limits access to vehicles above 1.90m, and there are no services. The site is very busy in summer, with persistent road noise and occasional nighttime disturbances. It offers shade, beach access and nearby rubbish bins.

Place close to the beach but with a lot of traffic. Not quiet at all, especially in summer... Good for parking in the shade but not great for sleeping there.
Impossible to access because of yet another height barrier. Forget it if you are over 1.90 m.
The smell of urine depends greatly on which corner you are in. When we arrived around 6 p.m., there were still many families and shell collectors in the parking area. After sunset they had gone and we had peace and quiet. In the morning, the first shell collectors and people emptying the bins arrived from 8 a.m. No one bothered us; we slept very well.
For vans only. Height limited to 2.00 m.
Far from being a good spot. The noise from the constantly busy road is incessant. People come and hang around with their engines running during the night. The only positive: bins are available and the beach is right next door, where we were able to collect cockles and eat them straight away.
Lots of people coming to the beach in the evening and morning, but otherwise a quiet night. Height maximum 1.85 meters The smell was not as bad as others write.
Parking blocked at 2 m by a height barrier.
A nice parking area in itself, but it smelled extremely strongly of urine. We could not stay and drove away. You also have to be careful on the way to the beach not to step in dog mess. Very unfortunate.
Actually a nice place, although right next to road noise; it smells completely of urine. We left again.
Very nice parking area! A path leads directly to the beach, where you can wonderfully watch the sunset in the evening. Recommended!
Direct beach access to a less busy section of the beach, but right next to the road and with a somewhat urine-like smell.
They have added barriers, making it inaccessible to vehicles over 2 m. It is a shame; this little parking area looked very pleasant.
