Been here?
This is an overnight parking place at a traditional village inn, where parking is free when you eat there. The home-style food comes in large portions, with a recent meal costing 60€ for 3 people, and the hosts are warm and welcoming. There are no services, and the motorhome area is currently partly occupied by construction machinery, with some vehicles standing beside the access road. The inn is 7 km from the Autobahn.

We ended up here because everything nearby was full. In the end, we are very happy about it. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts. We decided to eat schnitzel—the best we have ever had! Really highly recommended. We give four stars because the site itself is less attractive, but the conviviality makes up for everything. If you like authenticity, this is the place for you!
We were welcomed by the innkeeper couple, friendly and as authentic as the place itself. We chose to have dinner there: €60 for three people, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Free overnight parking. No services, and the place is not exactly fresh, but the authentic and warm welcome really helped us in this area, given the shortage of wild camping spots and the rush at the campsites.
I am somewhat torn. The food is actually very good: simple dishes and large portions, with no salads or anything similar, not even as a side dish. The innkeeper is very entertaining. Reasonable prices. But the motorhome pitch is occupied by construction machinery, so you park alongside the access road. Around 7 a.m., the construction workers arrive and collect their vehicles and machines. At night it is absolutely quiet. There are two very active German shepherds, which made things somewhat difficult with other dogs. The inn area is very untidy, looks neglected and partly dilapidated, and everything is poorly maintained and littered. I would not come back.
The site is unreservedly recommended. We had a fantastic meal—actually, that is an understatement, as the landlady cooks herself. If the journey were not so far for us, we would visit more often. The schnapps made by the landlord himself rounded off our conversation with him. Fortunately, we only had to walk fifty meters to the motorhome. If you are nearby, make sure to include this place in your plans!
Very nice hosts. We had a lovely evening. The food was delicious.
A very pleasant place to spend the night! We had a peaceful night, and in the evening there was excellent food and pleasant conversation. We would gladly come again.
Anyone wanting to experience something truly Bavarian should come to this special place. We had an unforgettable evening. Many thanks to Werner and his wife. Here, people really matter.
Such a special inn with very friendly hosts. The food is incredibly delicious, and joining the community is guaranteed. Such a friendly couple. Simply wonderful—we will come again. Best wishes from the northern Germans.
Top place! Flat parking area behind the old shooting club. The operators are extremely friendly, the food simple and good, and the atmosphere traditionally cozy. Note: you must be self-sufficient, and bring cash.
Quiet gravel pitch at an inn and shooting club. Very nice hosts and a quaint taproom. No fee if you eat there. We always enjoy stopping by. For motorhomes or campers without a toilet, there is no pitch. Dogs are no problem.
We found the pitch completely by chance while passing through and would like to thank them once again for the wonderful hospitality and good food. We will of course gladly return! For anyone who has not been here yet, please do not be put off by the exterior. And remember that only cash payments are accepted.
Its specific. Nothing fancy and there are no amenities. But! Its real and I really enjoyed everything. Chatting with the owners, having schnapps with them, choosing just between 4 possibilities to eat and look into how they live :)
Very nice operators, simple gravel parking area. However, do not be put off by the exterior. We ate very well and cheaply there, and in return we were allowed to park for free. Perfectly fine for one night! We will definitely come again.
Very warm-hearted elderly couple with whom we felt very comfortable. Nice, quiet gravel pitch in the countryside, with hiking routes starting right on site.
Not very impressive; the only advantage is the moderate price for the region.
Fantastic experience, thank you for the recommendation. we were at the area for visiting the big shopping area ( only 5min away) and wanted to stay here. They let us stay free and we had the most beautiful home cook food. Schnitzel was cooked in proper way with butter. They treated us like family and had a great German night. They are also animal lover and town only 10 min away by bike
Very rustic pub. Nice landlord with two German shepherds. Very tasty food. Quiet and pleasant pitch.
Super lovely hosts! For campers, the restaurant opens on Saturdays even though it is normally closed. Rustic and simple, but very tasty food made with love! We will return.
Quiet pitch if you are passing through. We cannot say more! I think this place's heyday is probably over, but it was okay.
Do not arrive too late; by then you are essentially no longer welcome. We had to pay €15 to spend the night.
You can park here for free after having a delicious dinner. We have used this great deal several times on our way south. The food offers excellent value for money, the hosts are very nice, and the pitch is wonderfully quiet. Always happy to return, thank you!
We were able to park here free of charge for one night after eating very well at the inn. Really wonderful hosts, with whom we had a long conversation. We were even allowed to come despite it being their day off! Gladly again!
Very nice host couple. Mrs. Dippold works in the kitchen herself and creates an excellent meal. We were there with the camper and will certainly come more often.
A very quaint place where we felt very comfortable. Very good food and nice hosts. We will definitely come again. ☺️ Thomas and Marion
We absolutely cannot understand the negative or poor reviews. Anyone who complains here probably has a problem between the ears and should swap their camper for a hotel holiday.
Very nice hosts and good, inexpensive food. Small but sufficient menu. Parking is absolutely quiet behind the inn.
Homely atmosphere and incredibly kind owners. We spent a peaceful night and ate at the restaurant, where we had an excellent typical dinner. The owners do not speak English. I recommend it!
I will try to give an objective review for everyone. The parking area is pleasantly quiet and the hosts are nice. The inn is very run-down and will put some people off. The hosts partly make up for it with their friendliness. The food is ordinary home cooking, nothing special but not bad either. The landlord seats all the campers together, so people can chat and exchange stories while eating and drinking.
Thank you very much for the wonderful welcome at this site. Although everything was full, they still found a little place for us. The food was delicious, and we had a pleasant evening in an old, rustic inn.
Sorry folks, anyone who rates this place poorly needs to look for the problem in themselves. Thank you for the sociable evening with nice people, warm hospitality, and delicious food in a rustic setting. We will gladly return.
We cannot understand the positive reviews. The pitch is fine; the restaurant and service are not. Very small menu and mediocre quality. The smell upon entering does not promise anything good, and unfortunately that proves true. For many, this may be an experience among the shooting and chess players, but we will definitely only do it once.
We were passing through and basically just hungry. While eating, we learned that we could also stay overnight. A very nice family runs an inn steeped in history and tradition. Very good traditional cuisine prepared by the landlady herself. A lovely place to linger and chat about everything under the sun. We would gladly come again.
The site is great for a stopover. The landlord and his family are very friendly, the food is good, and you feel welcome. For anyone interested in shooting or target shooting, this is a wonderful place to linger.
A nice pitch, idyllic and rural, but you are not allowed to put chairs and a table outside the motorhome. That is a shame, as it was not stated anywhere. We had been looking forward to the food, but because of this we drove on. Everyone must decide for themselves. It was an experience for us.
A wonderfully beautiful place at the end of a road. The hosts are extremely nice and helpful, and the food is delicious, including vegetarian options. Two other campers arrived, which led to a lovely evening with pleasant conversations. Parking is free, but please eat at the inn in return. Only campers with their own toilet are allowed, which I think is fair. Thank you once again.
No hesitation: our hosts opened their tables to us even though they were closed on Saturday. It was simple but good, warm, and convivial. The parking behind the inn is very quiet. Perfect for a stop before Salzburg.
The road to the pitch is narrow and adventurous, but manageable with our 7-meter motorhome. You park behind the restaurant on a very level gravel pitch. There is no fee, but you are expected to have dinner in the restaurant. Do not be put off by the first impression: good food and great conversations. No water or waste disposal and no toilets.
Do not be put off by the exterior. The very friendly couple welcomes you warmly and appreciates good conversation and having dinner in their restaurant. Small menu, but good food at a reasonable price. The restaurant is open until 9 p.m. The camper is parked behind the restaurant and it is quiet. A sweet German shepherd is present, friendly to people but less so to your dog.
It is absolutely quiet here at night. The host couple is very lovable and the food is really good. It would be a shame not to try it. If the door is closed, just ring the bell. We would definitely come here again.
