Been here?
This recreational parking area beside the Eume River is intended for daytime visits, not overnight stays. It provides potable water, picnic tables and access to hiking and mountain-biking routes in Las Fragas del Eume Natural Park. The approach is very narrow but shaded, and the area can fill up after busy mornings. The route to San Xoan de Caaveiro monastery is 8,3 kilometers, and no bus runs from here to the monastery.

We arrived early in the morning and there was only one other van. After doing the route, the parking area was full. The picnic area next door is very pleasant.Translating
Parking area for starting the route; in November we parked a vehicle over 7 meters long without any problem.Translating
Very shady, very narrow access road, good for hiking.Translating
Parking area for starting hikes. No overnight stays. No bus to go up to the monastery, despite what its website says.Translating
Place for hiking routes; there is a river and picnic tables, suitable for spending the day.Translating
Very beautiful place for eating (there are many wooden/stone tables), too bad overnight stays are prohibited. From here there is a route to the monastery of San Xoán de Caaveiro (8.3 km to the monastery), but it can also be done by van up to the last 500 meters. Very pleasant road.Translating
It is an ideal place to spend the day doing a hike. There are many picnic areas. In summer it must be quite crowded and buses run from Pontedeume. There are signs in all the parking areas prohibiting motorhomes. We did not spend the night.Translating
