Gravel parking, traffic and tram noise

Ideally located and level parking. Calm atmosphere and surprisingly quiet nights as well. We sleep with the pop-up roof open and were able to sleep peacefully; traffic dies down at night. Sports area with football pitches right next door, ideal for children.

Large free parking lot for 24 hours. We felt safe. Metro line 3 is 200 metres away, at Jar station. Get off at Jembanetorget to reach the tourist office. With the Ruter app, buy a 24-hour pass for zone 1. Attention: two zones are required if using anything other than the metro to get to Oslo. Adult 24-hour pass €12.02, senior €6.05. In Oslo, the metro, bus and ferry are included in the pass.

A free parking lot near the city centre is a gift, but unfortunately only for 24 hours! Between the metro and the motorway, earplugs are essential. Attention: the metro ticket costs 75 NOK because it is in zone 2.

Large motorhome parking area 20 minutes from Oslo by metro. Tickets must be bought through the Ruter app (46 NOK per journey). Perfect for spending one night. You are near a city, so it will not be completely quiet, but it is perfectly acceptable. Free. No services.

Very convenient; the metro to central Oslo is very close. There were many other motorhomes and we felt safe. Metro tickets cannot be bought at the station, but can be purchased through the Ruter app.

As described, a large gravel parking lot behind a car park. We stayed here on Thursday with many motorhomes, and there was still space. You need an app for the metro; my bank card was not accepted. A Norwegian angel named Katrin gave us the trip into the city! There is no way to buy tickets on site. We were actually checked.

A great place to visit Oslo! We were here with only three other motorhomes during peak season. It is on a larger road, but it did not bother us at all. From this spot you can take the train directly into the city. We used our bikes for this. A wonderful, bike-friendly city. Best of all, the parking is free! Highly recommended!

Great parking on gravel parking lot. Little traffic noise and noise from the tram but you’re in the city . We had a peaceful night there and the tube is 5 minutes away. Easy to find perfect for one night and free what more could you ask .

Perfect for taking the metro right next door to get to Oslo. Nice football field right behind it and a small outdoor gym. Free. A little noisy, but we slept well here.

Free and permitted for 24 hours, perfect for getting into the city from Jar station, 15–20 minutes from the centre. You can hear the road, but it is not bothersome.

Best parking for visiting the city centre by train in 20 minutes.

Ideal starting point for visiting Oslo: quiet location right next to Jar station, from where the T3 runs to the centre every 15 minutes (single ticket 46 NOK, 24-hour ticket 137 NOK via the Ruter app). Tip: with the 24-hour ticket, boat route B1 is included as a one-hour fjord cruise. Five other campers stayed overnight with us. After 24 hours, you can use a P+R space further west along the railway.

Great flat place. The metro is just behind it. No noise problems at night. Wonderful for visiting Oslo, and parking is free for 24 hours. To buy a metro ticket, you need to use the app, but we did not understand it, so we took the risk without a ticket and it was fine.

Very good place to leave your camper and explore Oslo. Around the corner from the metro and a beautiful sports park where you can walk the dog or run. Take metro line 3 and you will quickly reach the city. The parking area has been expanded and is much larger than in the photos, so even large campers can easily find a space here. Bin in the sports park. Sleeping in is not possible here.

You can park here for free and take line 3 into the city centre, which takes about 20 minutes. Large motorhomes are also possible. It is best to conveniently buy a ticket with the Ruter app. The best way to explore Oslo in a relaxed manner :)

Great place for a 7mt motorhome. we parked here for free, and caught the metro to the city centre. did not stay overnight so can't comment.

Convenient stop to get into Oslo on the train (right next to Jar station), about 20 mins into the city centre and pretty regular. We didn’t stay overnight as it was quite noisy and open but you could do. Free parking for the day which was a huge plus.

Very close to the underground. Relatively quiet at night, but you can hear the road. Free and well connected. We were on the gravel lot a little further back with other campers.

Excellent. We parked in the afternoon and took the metro to see the city. Super easy access. We spent the night here with many other campers and caravans. There was not too much noise from cars, construction or anything else. Recommended.

We stayed there for one night. Due to construction, it was very noisy. No services at all as described, but free and with excellent train connections to the city! About 15 minutes by train. That is why we drove to the parking lot; otherwise, there is not much there.

A good free place to park overnight, 2 minutes walk to metro, 20 mins into central Oslo. Quiet. feels safe with lots of other campers.

We had a pleasant overnight stay here! Perfect place. It is now a fairly large asphalt area where several cars and campers were parked. Plenty of space. We felt extra safe because we were not the only camper. The area also looks safe. It takes 30 minutes to cycle into the city, or you can take the metro. A lovely free way to explore Oslo!

A great way to take the T3 into the centre, and the city is more than generous for not charging parking fees and allowing overnight stays. But people, please do not park your motorhomes so inconsiderately that you occupy several parking spaces! As campers, we should not unnecessarily take parking spaces away from local residents. It is a little embarrassing to see.

Free, quiet, safe, and very well connected by bus or underground (Ruter app, 45 NOK single fare), 30 minutes to the centre. There were only three motorhomes. You can park at the rear of the parking area, where there is plenty of space. You may park for 24 hours, but you can briefly leave and return, restarting the 24-hour period. Compared with the very expensive car parks, this place is excellent.

Used to visit the city. Free, easy access to the city and it felt safe to leave our belongings in the car. Thanks :)
