Braemar Caravan Park

Superb campsite for motorhomes, clean and very well laid out. A little expensive: €100 for two nights in a motorhome without electricity for three people. Beautiful walks nearby.

We had booked, and were surprised when we arrived: they would not let us enter because our converted van had no windows. It is quite unpleasant to make the journey for nothing and then have to find another campsite 30 km away.

Friendly welcome. Well organized, clean, close to the town center. Two lovely pubs and the Highland Games arena. Everything was great.

Beautiful place. Despite traveling in a van, we slept in a Fog Pod, a small cabin. It was very nice. The sanitary facilities were somewhat old, but clean. We would come again.

A truly beautiful campsite. Very tidy and clean, including the sanitary facilities. Dog-walking area right on the edge. The village of Braemar, a 10-minute walk away, is also very nice, with many old houses and excellent shops and restaurants. Several walks start from the campsite; a brochure is available for purchase on site. We extended our stay and remained for three nights.

Stayed in a hard pitch. Excellent pitches with plenty of space between vans. Showers have a strangely high pressure to enable hot water (all or nothing). Hurts the skin almost. Bins were a bit inconvenient especially with all the rain around (but that’s a small thing). Good location and campground otherwise.

Booking the pitch through the website was trouble-free. Nice welcome. Good pedestrian access to the village. Plenty of clean sanitary facilities. Pleasant stay.

Everything was fine except the Wi-Fi. Three out of four devices could never connect at all, and the other sometimes had a connection with internet and sometimes without.

We stayed one night with our campervan. Friendly welcome and beautiful facilities. Thanks to the time of year, it was very quiet. Yes, there are many rules as I read somewhere here, mainly expressed through all kinds of stickers displaying instructions posted everywhere. I found it particularly amusing, and they are fairly obvious things that any respectable camper—and surely we all are—more or less observes anyway.

Brilliant campsite very close to the town centre (5-10min walk). It was nice and quiet. Facilities are great, nice and clean. Good showers and good pitch sizes.

Lovely site. I turned up without a booking and was welcomed. As it was only the dog and I, was charged a single occupancy rate, which was nice. Pay as you go electric hookup, which is charged to a card at reception. I managed to use up the £6 I loaded on the card in 1 night. It was below 0 outside overnight, so I guess I just had too much heating on.

Nice campsite, with dog walking area, but loads of rabbits both in it and around the site, so it can cause chaos if your dogs like to chase rabbits! They are very specific about how you park and washing/drying was quite expensive. Great location for walking into town.

As recommended, we stop there to refill our water tank and empty our waste. £5 open until 8. No toilets available for us.

We did not stay overnight, but used the services here for a reasonable £5: gray-water disposal, rubbish disposal, toilet emptying, and fresh water. It worked very easily. Very friendly! Thank you.

Very clean and well maintained. Spacious pitches. Electricity is charged according to consumption. The castle and village are only a few minutes' walk away. The local pub is especially recommended. Reservation required.

The campsite has numerous rules, and the staff strictly enforces them. These include driving directions, walking directions, and how to position your car or tent in your spot. It doesn't give you that free feeling of camping!

Excellent campsite with all amenities. The sanitary blocks are well maintained and very functional. Its only drawback is that it is a little expensive.

Exceptionally well-maintained site with spacious pitches and facilities. Several hiking trails start from the site. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

A very clean and peaceful site. We arrived spontaneously with two people, a car, a roof tent, and a dog. Really expensive—£37. The walk into town takes 5–7 minutes and is perfectly fine. There is a bar in the center where the young locals go. Prices are accordingly cheaper than at the other two pubs, which were mostly full of tourists and packed. The dog was warmly welcomed.

Very, very quiet campground. Electricity cost extra; the four of us used less than £2 for lights, the refrigerator, and charging all our devices. Sanitary facilities were clean. In the evening we walked into Braemar for a beer. Less than a five-minute walk.

We were only planning on staying one night but we stayed for two . A lovely campsite with two very helpful and friendly wardens, the campsite was very clean all facilities were spotless. Loved the wee walk through the woods with both our dogs , think they loved it as there were so many rabbits about . Friendly campsite and lots of space between others campers .

We called in here on the off chance of getting a space as we were passing. They were very friendly. £29 with EHU and a pre paid top up card for electric.( cost us 15p for the night!) I even charged my e-bike. We will come again.

Warm welcome. Spacious campsite with large pitches, close to the beautiful village of Braemar, a 10-minute walk away. A lovely bike ride in the Dee Valley. Very quiet. Recommended.

Everything clean and orderly, with large pitches. The only drawback is the nighttime invasion of rabbits. They even chew through cables.

Well-maintained site, but absolutely not child-friendly and with very strict rules. You must park exactly as instructed, aligned to the left, even if the van then sits at an angle or cannot reach the electricity connection. Children are not even allowed on the playground alone, which consists of one swing and nothing else. Many dogs, some quite noisy. But very close to the village!

Very good campsite. Friendly welcome and good instructions. Booking online in advance is highly recommended, as it is already very full.

We arrived here in a self-converted Citroën Berlingo. After two weeks touring Scotland, we were told that it was not actually a campervan and that we therefore could not stay overnight. Conclusion: if you do not have a standard factory-built campervan, simply stay away.

My converted minivan was classified as a car, and sleeping in a car is not allowed at this site. I was turned away.

Booked a hard standing pitch online beforehand. It was a nice place to stay in a beautiful place. Good, clean facilities.
