A spacious, calm plateau between the monastery and the village, with a river nearby and room to walk. Water is available at a fountain 50m below, while the monastery fountain has very low flow; buses turn around at the bottom, so that area should be avoided. The site is easy to reach, illuminated at night and usually has only occasional passing traffic.

Quiet place. Something drives past occasionally. Ideal for one night. Easy to reach.
We slept there for two nights and were very comfortable. It is very quiet, with only a few cars passing during the day. You can walk to the monastery, and there is plenty of space to walk the dog.
It is not safe here. We were pelted with stones during the night.
Very convenient for spending the night because the ground is not muddy, and we are very close to the monastery, which can be visited from 6 or 7 a.m., depending on the season. Very friendly welcome too. The GPS point is not quite accurate: simply look for the cross on its red-stone pedestal and park opposite; there is room for everyone.
Very nice parking area. You can take beautiful walks here or visit the nearby monastery. In the evening, a car came to the parking area and turned around about five times, then drove away. Strange. The police also drove past late at night. You can hear the nearby road from time to time. I was here with a dog and a rooftop tent.
