This is a paid daytime parking area with views of the Isle of Wight and a walk along the pier to Hurst Castle, about 5/6 km round trip. Overnight stays are forbidden, there is no height restriction, and the latest information gives £15ish for all day with a 20-hour maximum. The car park can be busy and tight; a supermarket is 10 minutes walk towards the town.

No overnight stay. No height restriction. About £15 for the whole day, 20 hours. A local busybody takes a photo of your registration plate if you look as though you are going to stay.
A nice day time winter spot, only knocked one star off as it would be nice to have some winter parking rates. Max stay 20 hours, no overnight. Very sleepy coastal town during the colder months. Only a few other vehicles parked up - we have a 6m fit into the spaces overhanging the grass verge a bit. Fair few dog walkers. Nice little cafe serving food and drink 9-5 (dog friendly too).
Lots of spaces, though it was quite busy and tight. Great views and a good walk. Clearly signposted: no overnight stays.
