Quiet city area, uneven pitches

I drove past it; the area is very difficult to access and there is nothing to see in the town. I think the land must have been cheap, and, as if by coincidence, the free area in Saint-Pierre-en-Faucigny has closed and there are barriers everywhere.✦Translating

Warning: Camping-Car Park is run by thieves. More than 3 days without a reservation means a €50 penalty per night. Be vigilant, because when you leave they try to record you as merely exiting rather than departing, so they can charge you for an extra day. Avoid these areas at all costs.✦Translating

Setting is quiet. There are no marked spaces, so it’s very random where campers are parked. It can be full even though CC may say there are spaces left. Uneven ground, chocks needed. Town very limited with eating out, just takeaways mostly. Disappointing.

We enjoyed our stay at this CCP; we had a pretty level pitch there, but there are many that are extremely sloping and undefined. Also, there are several stabilised pitches near the entrance. The services are in a very good location with easy access. The negative, The entry and exit barrier is close to the narrow road, making it difficult for a long camping car towing a long trailer.

Lovely, very peaceful area. It is better to have levelling blocks, but nothing serious. There do appear to be permanent residents, but they cause no inconvenience, disturbance or nuisance. We do not regret stopping here.✦Translating

The place is quiet, with lots of greenery and some shaded pitches. Some people live here permanently, but it is unclear whether they are trustworthy. You need to park on the gravel pitches because the ground where there is grass is very soft and could be a problem, especially after rain. Many pitches are also very sloping and have a small step to climb. Therefore, the actual number of usable pitches is greatly reduced.✦Translating

We experienced this time some Residents disturbing a quiet night sleep. We had to leave earlier than planned because of bad athmosphere. The best experience was the Pause Gourmande in Pastry Gouter Dessert in the Center of Bonneville. The Water Station ist defekt.

Several stays in April and May, always the same problem of squatters, people travelling in groups, with two vehicles per pitch; it is not reassuring. Moreover, what remains is sloping or on grass. Camping-Car Park has accustomed us to better.✦Translating

We stayed there from 12 to 18 April. We had a stabilised pitch but it was sloping, which was acceptable because we have family near Bonneville. The pitches are really not suitable for motorhomes.✦Translating

Too little space between the motorhomes, lots of mud, and lots of cars passing at the weekend. It is not that peaceful, so the price is too high.✦Translating

Most of the pitches are muddy, access is difficult with large motorhomes or even with a trailer, and the neighbours were particularly awful. Although the campsite is not really to blame, it did not help us retain a good memory of the experience.✦Translating

Says 55 pitches online but in reality there are about 9 on hardstanding and gravel. The rest are on grass/mud up a concrete curb. You could see tracks where people had got stuck/dug in. We left straight away, would rather pay for a better one somewhere else. Probably ok in summer.

Adequate and quiet area; levelling blocks are essential to get level. Prefer the stabilised pitches, especially in wet weather. It is a shame that there are hardly any service areas in this region; more should be created because the region is lovely.✦Translating

Terrible place! the pitches are not marked, so it's chaos to where you are to park. Due to heavy rain, the very sloped grass pitches made it impossible to use levellers as they sunk in the mud. I had to park on an access road because I feared my vehicle would sink, and I would need recovery. It's the worst site ever. Might be better in a very dry summer, but I won't be back.

We needed somewhere to stay after travelling through Switzerland. We didn’t want to pay Switzerland prices! So we crossed into France. This one looked spacious and not too far. There were about 20 vans staying and the toilets & showers were completely locked!? Apparently they are locked from 31st August onwards!? How mad is that?! Also most pitches are on grass and everything was really muddy!!

There are only about thirty motorhome pitches, and when it rains heavily only about twenty remain usable without mud. Levelling blocks are needed everywhere except for six pitches on the right under the trees, although those are muddy when it rains. An excellent campsite in the French Camping-Car Park chain, so you need the app to access it and pay. A typical municipal campsite with toilets, showers and a washing-up sink with hot water. The sanitary facilities are closed after 31 August. Excellent motorhome service area, with easy filling and emptying. Electricity is sufficient even for air conditioning.✦Translating
