This is a fairly flat, paved parking area at the American War Memorial of 14-18. It is very quiet at night despite the nearby road, with a picnic table and a panorama across the Champagne plain. The memorial tower offers a viewpoint, but there are no other amenities, and mowing during the morning can create dust.

Historic site from the First World War. No remains, but a beautiful panorama, rare in this Champagne plain.
The place is very quiet despite the road being right next to it. You can climb to the top of the tower for a lovely view. The night was absolutely peaceful, but the caretaker mowed the lawn all morning even though there was nothing to mow, creating clouds of dust from time to time.
I have just spent a pleasant, very quiet night here. I was alone in this nice parking area. No facilities, but there is a picnic table. Take the opportunity to visit the American memorial.
