Guarded urban area, railway noise

If you have a dog DO NOT GO. We arrived and wanted to park under trees to have shade and keep our dogs cool. The owner would not allow this although we made it clear to him. He parked use next to a post that stopped the use of our awning. Train noise is loud and barking dogs from the town is all night.

The site is rather run-down and has not been maintained for many years. The operator is friendly but charges extra for everything. Waste disposal costs €3.50. Moderately clean. The railway is right next to it and already noisy. The town is ugly due to wartime damage, apart from the church square. The abbey is absolutely worth seeing. Take the bus up for €2. The way down is a steep but worthwhile trail along the ancient access road.✦Translating

We spent one night and visited the town. Walking through the railway underpass, you reach the centre in 10 minutes; a supermarket and other shops are encountered first. The access road is narrow but not very busy. Clean facilities. The owner is helpful and well organized. Recycling and the toilets/showers are impeccable. The only drawback is the train noise.✦Translating

Well-maintained motorhome stop. Good value for money. Google Maps shows a route limited to 2 m clearance. Take the alternative route via the main road instead.✦Translating

There is no point advertising a low pitch price when every service then has to be paid for dearly. I have never paid €7 for electricity for one night. With the €3 electrical connection, even the refrigerator did not work. Beware of these profiteers.✦Translating

Park near the town, with electricity and paid hot showers. Friendly welcome from the owner. The downside is the train noise, as the park is right in front of a station.✦Translating

Loved it, a site right up my street. A one man band who runs his site like Ryan airlines: €14.50 a night for two adults (less than 7.5m) €16.50 greater than 7.5m extra adults €1.50 each child €1.00 350w electric €3.50 1200w electric €7.50 hot shower €1 service €2.50 trailer (car) €5.00 trailer (motorcycle) €3 WiFi €3. No charge for the mosquitoes or occasional train noise, missing a trick there!!

Very nice place, more like a mini-campsite, and listed as such by ANWB and ACSI. Friendly owner who explains and shows everything, with reasonable prices. Beautiful view of Monte Cassino Abbey on top of the mountain, and several supermarkets nearby. Some background car noise and an occasional train, until 9 p.m. Highly recommended!✦Translating

There were only two motorhomes, so it was very quiet. We were not bothered by the trains; I think the last one passed around 9 p.m., and there was no noise at night. The sanitary facilities were clean that day. Very pleasant and proper welcome. Selective waste collection, with no extra charge for rubbish. €24 for two adults and two children, 350 W of electricity—enough for us—and four shower tokens.✦Translating

Very pleased to have found this parking area, which is more like a campsite. €19 for one night for a motorhome and five people. With showers, charging and emptying, the total was €26. We were alone in the world at this campsite, with a shady spot and a very welcoming gentleman. Sanitary facilities were not very clean but acceptable.✦Translating
