This free daytime parking area near the station is useful for visiting Villach, with a riverside walk reaching the centre in about 10 minutes. It has no services and overnight parking is prohibited. The parking area is large and partly shaded, but some spaces are narrow for motorhomes.

Really perfect for visiting the town; half a day is enough. Free, large, and shady. Along a footpath by the river, you reach the old bridge and then the town center in 10 minutes.
I don’t know why, but some gentlemen who were staying next to the fence of a nearby factory gestured for us to leave. In any case, the spaces were so narrow that although we have a van, we didn’t fit.
Nice large free parking area close to the city; you can walk there easily along the water!
Close to the city, free.
Good place for visiting the city. Free. Ten minutes’ walk to the city center.
No services, but completely free, and the center can be reached in a 10-minute walk along the river.
Great! Free large parking, and unless the fact that we arrived early afternoon still we found a good spot to park our motorhome of 7m. In 5min you're in the city center by foot, so very good walking distance. It might be difficult to park your motorhome here when larger than 7m. Thanks to the people who made this possible! In other cities we haven't seen this luxury!
Free parking. Large car park. Walk along river to centre.
Great location; in 10 minutes you are in the city, via a beautiful path along the water. The parking area is huge and free.
We visited the city and the motorhome rested there until then. There is a shady part, but it's hard to catch.
Great parking area for visiting the city! There is a footpath along the Drau to the old town.
Large parking area. However, some idiots race cars around the lot with screeching tires and loud engines.
The railway is clearly audible. Enough space for large and small motorhomes.
Very nice spot; we were lucky to get the place right by the river. You can easily walk into the city, and a supermarket is just across the bridge. You can hear the trains in the distance. Thanks to the city of Villach.
Normal traffic in a large city parking area with train traffic. Not quiet, but perfectly fine, and I felt safe leaving the vehicle there during the day with a clear conscience. Thanks to the city!
Couldn't find the motorhome spaces. I think they were filled with cars on a rainy week day in March. Luckily there is a bit of mud opposite where we could park.
We didn’t sleep there, but stopped for a few hours to visit the town. Very convenient; the center is just a few minutes away on foot. No services.
Excellent daytime parking, a 10-minute walk from the center. We wanted to spend the night, but around 10 p.m. we moved to a nearby campsite because it was impossible: cars constantly coming and going, and noisy groups of young people everywhere. Personally, we didn’t feel safe.
Convenient for the center but extremely noisy at night because of young people revving their cars. Obviously, convenience requires a compromise, unfortunately.
The place is very suitable for sightseeing, with no facilities for water or waste disposal. Unfortunately, there is a group of locals who drive around in their cars and make noise for half the night. “Sad.”
Perfectly located free parking area. Beautiful little town, 5 minutes on foot. Flat bicycle path along the river from the parking area. Great with a dog. We spent 2 nights there during the week. In the evening, 5 well-dressed teenagers chatted for half an hour and drove around three times. The boys were absolutely harmless, not gangsters! You can hear the train and vehicles being moved—it is a parking area, after all. Slept perfectly!
Noisy and dangerous at night. OK for day parking. Close to the center which is beautiful, partly shaded, near bike path, you can cycle to the lakes approx 10 km. In the evening local youngsters drive/race/honk in the parking lot, the police came for a while but when they left the driving continued. better park elsewhere at night
Enough parking close to the city.
Perfect during the day; from 11 p.m. the rally begins, especially in the area near the river.
Better keep driving. Loud youths do whatever they want: drifting, honking, dangerous acceleration, etc.
Very convenient for visiting Villach or as a base for cycling trips; it is close to several cycle paths. Free and spacious parking. A little noisy in the evening because of young people racing their cars.
Perfect parking for visiting Villach. We stopped to sleep several times. The only drawback is the young people who gather to drink and make noise with their cars. Stop in the parking area in front, not the one behind, otherwise you won’t sleep.
We stayed for one night. Quite noisy as a couple of rally champions practice here at night. At 2.45 the train traffic started.
