7 Strada Piatra Mare, 505302, Timișu de Jos
Been here?
Free public parking on grass beside the road, very close to the 7-step Canyon trail. It is the only shaded section, but has no services or rubbish bin and can be littered. Overnight stays are possible, although daytime parking fills with hikers, while road, railway, dogs and occasional night noise may disturb. The canyon closes at 18:00.

Simple public parking area for spending the night before starting the canyon hike. Not clean or beautiful, but very practical.
We stayed here to hike the Seven Ladders Canyon the next morning. Fine for one night, with a restaurant nearby. Concert of barking dogs at night! Best to arrive in the evening, as many hikers park here during the day.
Large parking area by the road. You can descend to the stream, but there is a lot of rubbish there. No bin. Noisy at night due to the road and train. Tourists start arriving around 9 a.m. However, the parking area is a good option for setting off to the nearby canyon before the crowds.
Great place. It was very quiet at night. The railway tracks and road were only slightly audible during the day. No services at all. We stayed farther forward, where there is just about enough internet reception.
This is only a free municipal parking area and nothing else. We spent the night here and hiked to the canyon. The canyon closes at 6 p.m. I can highly recommend cooling off afterward in the stream — it is ice-cold. At night, a hungry bear came along the road. Perfect place for hiking. Beggars try to charge parking fees, but there are none.
At this time of year, it is better to arrive very early in the morning or late in the evening. Popular hiking destination, so the parking area fills up very quickly.
Was okay but could hear road & railway Local strays nearby now 6 Female worst as protecting her pup but will keep distance if you shush away Hubby met a few locals who just stared no interaction Local attraction was closed but walk in parkland pleasant Nothing open in village Older gent walking his cow left her to graze in kids playground so take care if go there Didn't feel welcome
Much better than we imagined. We parked there thinking it was not the Park4Night spot, and it was closer than expected! The residents told us we could sleep there. Roadside but very quiet. Do not hesitate to park to the left of the house, in the grassier area under the trees. There is an entrance all the way to the left to avoid low branches. Three calm dogs.
Day parking, an eight-minute walk from the Seven Ladders hike. Shade is possible. We did not sleep there and there was little phone signal.
Parked at day, when visited canyon. In morning parking was empty. Good place for day parking. But I don’t know if I’d like to spend the night here. No shadow, near road.
We parked here for one night with no problems. A few dogs and weak phone signal, but great access for the 7 Ladders in the morning. Lovely hikes through the Canyon and mountains.
