This is a large paved parking area directly beside the Kinzig River, closer to the old town than the indoor-pool parking area. It is free and quiet overnight, while daytime parking costs 2.50 € and the area fills quickly from 7.30 h. There is riverside grass for walking dogs, but weekday mornings bring activity and nearby small-aircraft noise can occur during the day.

Large paved area by the river. Empty in the evening, but it fills up quickly from 7:30 a.m.
Very quiet and free overnight. Great for walking the dog. The night was peaceful, although a coach arrived at 7 a.m. to pick up many women, resulting in lots of chatter. When we woke up, the parking area was full of cars. It is fine for overnight stays; during the day it costs €2.50 per day.
Large parking area directly on the Kinzig riverbank, with an adjacent river meadow for dog owners to walk their dogs. Free and quiet from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. and on Sundays and public holidays. During the day there is aircraft noise from the nearby airport for small planes. On weekdays there is a lot of activity early in the morning from vocational school students parking here.
