Been here?
4x4 access only
Getting here needs an off-road vehicle. Check your ground clearance before setting off.
A beautiful off-road spot beside the loch, with an excellent view and very little nearby. The lower section requires a 4x4 and includes a river crossing, while vans and campers can stop higher up. The route is blocked by two large stones, and camping here is outside the Scottish Outdoor Access Code, so visitors may be asked to move. Midges can be numerous in August.

Beautiful place by the lake, accessible only by 4x4. Vans and motorhomes can stay a little farther up. The place is worth it, but watch out for the season you go—the midges devoured us in August.Translating
We had a small Volkswagen van and passed between the two large stones at the start of the track from the car park without any problem. We stopped at the first spot before the river crossing, which indeed requires a 4x4. Breathtaking view of the loch and nobody around apart from the midges. Magnificent sunrise.Translating
This area requires off-road driving and is therefore outside the Scottish Outdoor Access Code. Expect to be asked to move if you camp here.
Unfortunately, the path is now blocked by two large stones, so that is the end of the beautiful waterside spot.Translating
