Lagoon roadside stop, biting insects

Please, please bring fresh water! There is a pack of dogs in every dam section and they immediately join you for shade. Food comes from Arta twice a week, but please feed them extra if possible. The six strays here are friendly, some timid, and get along with other dogs if introduced carefully. They fight over food. Sleeping was difficult—they like to bark occasionally. No protection from sun or wind.✦Translating

Great place as described! Please be sure to replenish fresh water for the lovely dogs and, if possible, bring dog food too. We stayed in a lay-by farther back and built another dog shelter there from washed-up materials, which can now also be stocked.✦Translating

Incredible spot quite “in the middle of the sea”. Amazing for birds lovers ! We had a storm in the middle of the night, that was quite an experience!

Unfortunately, the journey there was completely not worth it... The place is littered and smells bad. The so-called pitches are merely pull-off areas. It is probably quite nice for birdwatching. The road there is one-way.✦Translating

A spot in the middle of the lagoon, a beautiful environment with birds and pink flamingos. We gave food and water to the stray dogs. Spot beside the road, with little traffic.✦Translating

An incredibly beautiful and peaceful piece of nature. Everything has already been written. Just one more word about the dogs: The stray dogs belong to a section of the dam. If they cross it, they fight among themselves. Bringing food is good, water is even better! Salt water is not good for the animals either. WHAT A PLACE! At the edge a the lagoon, between the flamingos and pelicans, easy to reach for every type of vehicle. Beware, bring your bug screen.

Fantastic place where you are completely surrounded by nature. Flamingos and pelicans fly around your ears! We stayed here for two nights and only a few cars passed. We stood 20 metres before this spot because the dogs have a lovely shelter at the marked location. Do not forget to bring them some food.✦Translating

We are currently spending Christmas Eve at this location. Absolute peace and quiet, very appropriate for the occasion. Magnificent sunset view. The road is narrow, but there are several places to turn around. We had no problems with our L3H2.✦Translating

We were there yesterday. A really beautiful place, but currently, or in summer, simply too hot. No shade, and the heat makes it smell bad. The water is rather algae-filled. It must be really good in the low and shoulder seasons. What is absolutely fantastic, though, is that you can observe flamingos and many other birds. A true paradise. Impossible in summer or when it is hot. No shade at all, and completely overrun with insects, including quite a few horseflies. We did not swim because there are many algae. I gave the only star for the view, which is very beautiful, and for the flamingos and storks visible in the distance.✦Translating
