This relatively flat gravel parking area is a starting point for several hikes along the old postal roads. A well-marked 2-hour hike begins with a steep climb and then levels out, with tables and seats offering good views. Overnight stays may involve road noise, and the area is slightly sloping. The oldest path near the tunnel has some rockfall risk.

Good starting point for a two-hour hike. Well signposted, with a steep climb at first and then level ground. There are two benches and tables for resting, with a good view. We found some blueberries. Overnight stays involve road noise. The ground is relatively level, slightly sloping towards the mountain. No puddles formed despite the rain.
