Daytime parking, overnight ban

On July 23, we benefited from 6 hours of free parking here, more than enough to tour the site. Entry to the museum is paid; as the souvenir shop is inside, it is not accessible without an entrance ticket. We recommend the Sami cabins along the road when coming back down from Nordkapp for souvenirs; prices are reasonable.✦Translating

An overrated, commercial, heavily exploited attraction. Busloads of cruise passengers whose ships dock in the village of the same name. For two people with one campervan, the parking costs 120 NOK (€11). An uneven surface; only the coaches have asphalt. There is another hefty extra charge to go inside.✦Translating

Large dirt parking area. At the entrance barrier, pay staff in the kiosk. Motorhome parking costs 150 NOK for a maximum stay of 6 hours, no later than 1 a.m., after which they close. They put the departure time on a ticket displayed in the windscreen. An additional 15 NOK per person is charged to get out of the vehicle. We paid 180 NOK in total. We did not pay for the visitor center because it was too expensive. We came for the midnight sun; it was a great experience.✦Translating

Congratulations: after driving 4,000 km, they managed to ruin Nordkapp for me. 1. Parking for 180 kroner (two people plus motorhome) for 6 hours is okay. Access to the visitor center exhibition for 360 NOK is basically okay too. However, the café and shop no longer being free is not okay. If I already have to buy very expensive food and souvenirs and then pay another €33 admission, I think twice.✦Translating

As you can already read in the other reviews, you quickly lose your money at this place. We expected that, especially regarding parking, but we were there before 10 a.m. in September and could park for free. Apparently, before 10 a.m. there is no way to get a ticket and the center is still closed. So it is probably worth arriving early.✦Translating

A wonderful example of testing how far one can go. If there were no artificially created hype around the area, nobody would come here. Many people are happy to pay a lot and take selfies with the globe, thinking they have achieved something.
