At risk of closure. Italian road-traffic rules must be followed: no tables, levelling blocks, chairs or other objects outside the camper. No open windows or loose dogs. The local police are checking, and fines have been increased to €500. We trust everyone to behave responsibly.
Very nice place. Flat, with a small restaurant right next door and the sound of the river lulling us to sleep.
Warning: because of many inappropriate behaviours—washing clothes or things in the river, rubbish, tents, etc.—the police came to issue fines and make everyone leave. Camping is prohibited in the municipality; be careful!
Despite trucks passing in the morning to collect stone, we spent a pleasant night beside the river, with mountain views and shade from the fir trees.
Great spot, spacious, beside the water with views of the Dolomites. Very quiet. Shade and sun to choose from. Little traffic.
Parking in a dangerous area due to landslides. Unstable area.
We arrived in the evening during a heavy rainstorm; four vans were already there. We spent a very quiet night beside the river, without being disturbed by the sound of the water. We spent the day there in the sunshine, with another van 70 metres away. Peaceful place, very little local traffic; we saw four walkers during the day.
What a spot! You can park right up next to the river with a view of Monte Antelao out your door. Very quiet area, only a few dog walkers. Local police drove past in the morning and had no problem with it. Don’t follow GPS if coming from Cortina direction or you’ll get stuck in narrow streets, take the sharp right off main road a bit further down, opposite the cemetery.
Nice location out of town, no hassle. No facilities. I give 3 stars as the river is like constant white noise. May not bother some but not great for me. If out of season, i would stay in town where you can apparently park over night.
