Shaded picnic area at the Pré de Raves pass, with picnic tables and a fire place, suitable for an overnight stop. Many spaces are sloping, and finding a flat place can be difficult. It is close to a road used by motorcycles, with walkers and passing vehicles in the morning, but remains cool and generally quiet at night.

Very close to the road, apparently popular with motorcyclists. Difficult to find a level spot. Many walkers in the morning who arrive by car, as well as cars and motorcycles driving through the forest. Positives: hiking trails, shade, cool at night despite the heat, lots of birds and other animals. Internet is okay.
Quiet and shaded. However, a little dirty... picnic tables available. Many spaces are sloping. Convenient for one night.
Good little spot. We were there on 15/08/25 and spent a very quiet night, not disturbed by the road right next to it. A small bonus is the picnic table.
Superb, quiet place, a paradise for dogs but no 4G signal.
The pitches at Col de Raves were occupied, so we took the paved road descending on the left, the Pré de Raves forest road. Go 2 km; on the left there is a nice first spot with two tables! Out of curiosity, we went farther, 2.4 km, and there, on the right, was a top-notch, unlisted spot! Two tables, a small bridge, a river, and a quiet night with no traffic. Brilliant!
Quiet place, great for an overnight stay. No bins on site, but the trees provide shade. There is a fire pit and some wooden tables and benches.
Very nice place with benches and a fire pit. Lovely and quiet at night. If we had not had dogs with us, we would have taken the parking bay with the picnic bench in the bend before it. Here, however, the dogs could run freely in the meadow. Hiking trails all around. No prohibition sign and no bins.
