3 Slaughterford Road, BT38 9TG, Whitehead
Been here?
Free golf-course parking with a service terminal and clean showers. The site is very sloped, with free grey- and black-water disposal, while fresh water is available by the golf-course fence. Road traffic is strong by day, and a nearby shooting range can be louder; nights are otherwise quieter. Showers are available to campers from Thursday and at weekends, and Belfast is reachable by train in 40min.

All pitches are slightly sloped, and there is very heavy traffic during the day. Quiet at night. Safe place; we took the train from there to Belfast, 40 minutes away. Unfortunately, there is a shooting range right next to the golf course; it is considerably louder than the road. A shame! Otherwise, as described. Since we were out all day, we stayed there for three nights.Translating
We were passing through and stopped briefly so I could shower. Good parking area, everything went smoothly. Showers were clean. Really excellent!Translating
Cassette toilet emptying works; water for cleaning is available and functioning. Did not test the rest.Translating
The parking area is directly beside the road. The site is very sloped, so levelling ramps should be used. Grey- and black-water services work. Showers are available to campers only from Thursday and at weekends.Translating
Good service from the golf club. Toilet emptying and drinking water available. Water is opposite the service column at the back. We were only there to empty.Translating
Grey-water emptying with a bucket. Black water okay. Fresh water downhill from the parking area, free.Translating
Free toilet emptying and a water tap (with the yellow hose attached near the fence) for fresh water. The water at the service point is coin operated, but unnecessary if you use the hose. Don't park here, go to the big carpark on the front in the town, with fabulous views.
Stayed overnight on 30 May 2026 in a Nugget AD. The site is slightly sloped and the road is clearly audible. Water is available at the golf-course fence; the hose is short and unhygienic, so use your own. Grey- and black-water disposal is at the motorhome service column, unfortunately without a ground drain, so a bucket is needed. Everything is free. Showers unfortunately broken.Translating
Somewhat older service station. Works well.Translating
For us, the best place in Belfast. We went there and came back to sleep. Filling and emptying available.Translating
Great place to stop for the night. almost flat. and quiet. some traffic evening and morning, but not disturbing. showers open for free during daytime. all services are free and working. use the tap with the yellow hose, opposite the emptying station for free drinking water. very friendly lady in reception is helpful and will advise you on the walks and the town.
Good spot. We stopped here after coming from the Giant’s Causeway. A very cute little village to visit. It’s a golf parking lot, but the host is friendly and let us use the changing room for free. We spent the night — a bit noisy since it’s right by the road. There are services for chemical disposal, filling and emptying motorhome water. £1 for each. The services open 9am
Wonderful place. Debbie in the office is very welcoming, and the showers and toilets are spotless. Shower facilities are currently open Thursday to Sunday; this will change in winter. Chocolate is needed, but it is well worth it. The golf course is more sheltered from the wind than the marina.Translating
Awesome spot! Free electricity, free showers, toilets, and all camper services. I mean… perfect!Translating
The bad reviews are incomprehensible. The Euroterminal works, waste disposal works, and tokens are only needed for electricity. Water is available opposite at the golf-course fence. Showers can be used free of charge during opening hours, 9:00–16:30 in summer, with slightly different hours in winter. Staff are very friendly. Yes, the site is slightly sloped, but everyone should carry levelling ramps.Translating
Free to use service point, what more can you ask for. I believe you can park overnight, but the car park is on quite a slope and ramps would be needed. Very friendly staff inside the clubhouse.
Safe place to sleep. I arrived in the middle of the night from a delayed ferry, so the slope did not matter to me. I just had a warm shower in very clean facilities! The drain was unfortunately a little blocked, but I have paid money in the UK for truly awful showers; this one was great! I donated to the RNLI, but you do not have to. Toilet terminal first-rate and friendly reception. 4G Vodafone UK.Translating
Five stars...and that is just for the borne! We just needed to empty our grey & black water so being able to do this for free was great. No dramas and even a protected parking space to allow you to draw up next to the facility. Free rinse water too. Thank you so much to the Golf Club. We will stay here next time we come to the town...and probably be even more effusive!
The golf course is open only at weekends, so the sanitary facilities can also be used only then. Cassette emptying and cleaning are possible, and water can be taken from the tap opposite.Translating
During the week everything is closed. The motorhome service cannot be used unless you have the appropriate tokens. Parking is on a slope. We were only able to empty the black water.Translating
Nice stop, a little sloped, but the water and service facilities are perfect.Translating
Rang ahead to double check about showers. Was told thats absolutely fine, we can come. The bathrooms were super clean, warm and free! Sat and had a good 20 minute chat with the lady, she was so friendly and told us people are absolutely welcome to stay in the golf car park over night, she said there’s CCTV and it is safe. Dont hesitate at all 10/10
Free showers and water !! thank you very much to bentry golf club for providing this service. it's not really an overnight stay,(with tge harbour bding 5 mins away) although i think you can and even go for a round of golf if that's your thing... The showers are however only open when the course is, so check times
How can you call it a fantastic motorhome area when the service point works only when the golf club is open? In addition, the parking is beside the road and on a slope. Look elsewhere.Translating
