A free, shady gravel picnic area near the road, with a table, shelter and compost toilet. The surrounding paths offer excellent hiking, including routes along the water, while the barbecue area is 1,8km away on marked trails. Traffic is usually quiet at night, but passing vehicles can be fast and the toilet and surroundings may be dirty.

Relatively flat gravel parking. Very close to the road, with little traffic, but when vehicles do pass they drive very fast and can cause disturbance. The barbecue area is a 1.8 km hike following the orange and blue markings.
Yes it’s close to the road but almost no traffic at night. Calm, shady and free spot with the most amazing hiking paths to venture out on in the early morning. Felt safe.
Roadside parking. Fire pit and shelter. No bin. Quiet for this location at night.
For overnight stays, 1–2 stars (we didn’t stay). Close to the road, and the trash and toilet were dirty. For hiking, 4 stars: great walks along the water. There is a shelter with a barbecue area near the water. Farther from the parking area there is no more rubbish collection.
The shelter is covered in graffiti and there is rubbish around it. The spot is close to the main road with a lot of traffic.
