Been here?
A friendly, shady campsite directly on the lake, with spacious pitches, a pebble beach and a small clean swimming pool. Toilets and showers are clean, but toilet paper must be brought; the site also has a small shop, restaurant or bar and children’s facilities. Two adults with a panel van paid 33 € per night. A nearby road is audible in the background, while recent reports also mention noise after 22:00 and free-roaming dogs.

Friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. The campsite is directly on the lake with access to the beach. Thanks to the many plants, there is plenty of shade. There is also a small, lovely pool for cooling off. We paid €33 per night for two adults with a panel van. Overall, we were very satisfied.
A great campsite directly on the lake, with very good value for money. Very friendly staff, everything exceptionally clean. Beautiful scenery. Large pitches. There is even a swimming pool. Highly recommended!
Wonderful place. The pool is small but clean, the bathrooms are clean, but there should be a holder for toilet paper since there isn’t one and you have to bring your own. The pitch is comfortable, with all amenities. We will gladly return.
Super-friendly staff, and the sanitary facilities were clean. You had to bring your own toilet paper. Access to the water is fine, but it is a pebble beach, so you should wear shoes. The campsite is close to a road, which can be heard, but it is in the background and not really disturbing because there is little traffic at night.
Small, tidy, clean and well-maintained campsite with all the essentials. Attentive and friendly managers.
Beautiful site. The campsite is wonderfully located directly on the lake. Unfortunately, quiet hours were not observed, even after 10 p.m. Dogs also roamed freely and dog waste was not cleaned up. We had originally planned to stay for three days, but left early after just one night because of the noise and poor hygiene. What a shame!
Great value for money. Very quiet and beautifully located campsite. Clean sanitary facilities and nice owners. Long grassy area by the lake. Plenty of shaded pitches. The boat landing is an 8-minute bike ride away. Very beautiful lake, truly recommended! Apparently very popular with dog owners.
A little piece of paradise. Very friendly welcome. Pitches along the lake. Clean showers and toilets. Pool and children’s playground. La Trattoria della Grotta at the campsite exit is excellent.
Campsite very well located on the lake. Each pitch is shaded. We arrived in the first half of August without a reservation, and they found us two nights, even a third by changing pitches, so they are very accommodating! Clean sanitary facilities.
Very nice family campsite with direct access to the lake, pool, restaurant/bar/shop, and 15 minutes by bike from the centre of Idro village. The pitches are shaded and spacious. We recommend it!
Well-located campsite by the lake; welcoming staff who let us choose our pitch. Clean and practical sanitary facilities. Convenient small shop for essentials. Fair price.
I used to come here all the time as a child! Lake, pool, mini-market, restaurant and lots of peace and quiet. Recommended!
Very pleasant and well-located campsite by the lake, with access to the beach and a pool. Pitches are marked out by four trees, providing enough shade depending on the time of day. Extremely clean sanitary facilities. Bar and mini-market. Restaurant next door, open from July 1. Village 15 minutes away on foot; walks around the lake start from here, on foot or by bike.
From the very warm welcome at reception to the clean sanitary facilities and magnificent view of the lake, this small campsite leaves nothing to be desired. The entire site, including the pool, is very well maintained. The small shop has the essentials. There was a lot of traffic on the road at the weekend, but it did not disturb us. We can only recommend the site.
Just spent an amazing 4 peaceful and quiet days on this lovely small and friendly site. We had an ACSI spot at €23 per night including EHU and our dog. Tourist tax of €1 pppn extra so very happy. Always hot water in the clean bathrooms and in the washing up sinks. Small pool but very refreshing and clean. The beach area is perfect if you have a dog and lots of space to spread out on. A little roadside noise, but nothing to concern us and quiet in the night. 25 mins walk to the centre on a path away from the road. Highly recommend and would return
Nice, small campsite; older but clean sanitary facilities, mini-market and bread rolls available to order. Nice operators who speak many languages. A public path runs along the shore in front of the pitches; at the beginning of June it was not used much. Dogs are allowed in the lake; from the campsite there are only two footpaths. Unfortunately, many motorcyclists were out at the weekend, through no fault of the campsite. Great view of the lake and mountains.
10–13 June 2025: €35 including electricity for a camper, two people, a toddler and a dog. Bread-roll service in the café/shop, washing machine and dryer available; coins for the washing machine can be obtained in the shop. Beautiful shaded pitches, pleasantly cool pool, and direct access to the lake. Very dog- and child-friendly.
Very nice site. In high season we were able to stay spontaneously for three nights with a 6 m motorhome. Idro is about a 10-minute walk along the lake. Friendly, helpful staff and everything very clean. Great for relaxing! We would gladly return.
Nice campsite. Sanitary facilities are outdated—not really clean, but functional. Busy road in front of the campsite. Extremely irritating number of noisy motorcycles. Friendly operators. The restaurant is excellent and highly recommended.
Very busy even in the low season, in mid-June, with many permanent caravans. Clean toilets and other sanitary facilities, beautiful views over the lake and mountains, small swimming pool with loungers, bread service and restaurant; closed on Wednesdays. We paid €23 with an ACSI card for a camper, two people, including electricity and tax. Very kind host who speaks several languages.
Very beautifully located. Nice bar/terrace and swimming pool. Clean showers. Shaded pitches available. Unfortunately, like the other campsites, there is some daytime noise from motorcycles on the road. Moderate internet reception. Motorhome users: the drinking-water refill hose is unfortunately used by some people to rinse their toilet cassettes. The owner was informed and promised to take measures to prevent this from happening again.
Small, well-maintained and tidy campsite, very clean with kind and friendly staff. Small shop with the essentials. Clean bathrooms. Recommended.
