Unnamed Road, 833 93, Strömsund
Been here?
A parking area for a walk to historic rock engravings, reached by a 7 km rough gravel road. The overgrown, narrow site fits only 1 motorhome, and it is not cleared of snow in winter. Recent reports describe many aggressive mosquitoes at the parking area, although wind near the water helps.

A nice walk to see the rock drawings; it is pleasantly windy by the water. However, there are currently a huge number of aggressive mosquitoes at the parking area—because of the wind, they are not by the water—so I am not staying overnight. Otherwise, you really have to remain inside.
Not cleared in winter, so it can only be used without snow.
Overgrown and narrow parking spot really suitable for only one motorhome. The hike goes through the forest to the rock drawings. A new footbridge has been built to view them. With a lot of imagination, you can recognize the pictures. The access road, 7 km long, consists more of potholes than road. Everyone must decide for themselves whether to make the effort.
Quiet place, lots of mosquitoes. Difficult to reach, with 7 km of poor gravel road. Close to the historic Fångsjön rock paintings.
