Chemin de la Grotte À Calvin, 86000, Poitiers
Been here?
This is a secluded daytime parking area at the end of a white path, near a railway footbridge, river and walking area. Trains make it noisy, and sleeping overnight is not allowed; local officials have enforced this restriction. A recent report describes a vehicle break-in and assault at 5am, so extra caution is necessary.

Our van was robbed by four people at this location a few days ago. We already knew the spot and had seen people there before. We were alone that night, and at 5 a.m. we were attacked. This will probably happen again now that they know converted vans often come to this place. Take care.
A lovely spot to stop, enjoy the river and have a stroll. However, we were told by local officials patrolling in a van that we are not allowed stay overnight.
It was very beautiful! The train didnt bother me too much, but I can see it can be annoying for some people.
Isolated and peaceful place, but fairly noisy because of the railway line.
Superb place with the water and ducks nearby. Please leave the place clean.
