Riverside parking, occasional road noise

A peaceful riverside parking spot near the Balmore Botanical Garden, with enough room for a 6.8m motorhome. Overnight stays have been peaceful, although there can be some road noise and occasional disruptive visitors. The visitor centre may be closed, and dogs are welcome.

We had a nice peaceful night here, a wee bit of road noise but quiet during the night. Visitor centre was closed when we arrived so couldn’t ask. No signs saying we couldn’t park. Lots of dog walkers in the morning but they all parked in the main car park. Stayed all the next day as we had a walk up the hill. Had a coffee in the cafe.
stayed here last night reasonably quiet close to road but after dark no problem, boy racers turned up about 9pm honking horns driving round the carpark dangerously with friends hanging off the bonnets. they left around an hour later presumably it was there bed time. there are no signs stating no overnight parking we stayed here as we intend to visit the gardens when they open at 10
Fabulous wide long picnic lay by with tables and bins. Road quiet by 9pm. excellent for a night's stop over.
