Forest picnic area, noisy overnight

Seems really nice but the spot is, like the other naturespots in the area, currently closed. But Parking lot is open. BBQ’s also closed. Probably due to fire risk. Spending the night in the parkinglot was really bad because of the never ending traffic ✦Translating

A completely silent night in this kind of sandy area. Past the first picnic area, and past the second grassy area described in some comments, there is a forest area with a few clearings where at most one or two vehicles can be left. Total darkness apart from the moon and stars. In the morning, some tractors and other cars passed by.✦Translating

Upon the Road of the Great Wood, one hundred yards to the left, lies a grassy space for caravans, offering shade but no provisions. By night, it is dark yet silent and safe. Three hundred yards ahead stands a well-equipped petrol station with lavatories, food, coffee, and water. A most excellent place, well recommended.✦Translating

Great spot for overnight camping -- make sure to pull up a bit higher into the forest road there's a small clearance where you can park with an amazing view of the forest. We spent a night, even had a great day after, there were two other campers. The place was fairly quiet but there is occasional car passing through the forest road. Clean, quiet, felt safe.✦Translating

Very relaxed vibe! Easily accessible, with enough spots at this time of year. Live music on Sundays, not disturbing if you are not a light sleeper. Dog-friendly. And as they say, keep it clean so this place stays pleasant for everyone. Be prepared for flies :)✦Translating

Don't be afraid to continue along the road to find a nice spot. No noise except the crickets!! Road suitable for vehicles of all sizes. I highly recommend it.✦Translating

Great spot for a peaceful stay near Peniche. There is plenty of space, tables, barbecues, and a service station for cold drinks. The road can be heard a little, however.✦Translating
